About The Owner

Born, raised and married in the Greater Cincinnati area, we just celebrated our 37th anniversary in the tri-state. Our background and education includes design, architecture, building and renovation of homes to their original grandeur. When we found this gem we knew immediate this would be a home we could retire to but for now it is perfect for a visiting family, corporate relocation, or just a home away from home.

The Owner purchased this house in 2011

Why The Owner chose Bellevue

We chose this home because it offers quaint urban living and big city excitement all within walking distance of our marvelous riverfront. This home offers original wood trim and flooring, working pocket doors, 10' high ceilings, original fireplaces and a comfortable kitchen.

What makes this house unique

Completely furnished large rooms, 2 furnished bedrooms, den (can be used as a 3rd bedroom), 3rd floor open to all possibilities, new appliances, central air conditioning, gas heat, lovely front porch and additional outdoor living space.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a charming home you have. Everything worked out for our visit to Cincinnati and we loved staying on Berry Ave.

The home is everything that it was shown to be and the perfect location for splitting our time between our respective families located in both Ohio & Kentucky.

I fully expect that when we return to the area, you'll be first to hear from us regarding our accommodations.

Great location and comfortable home!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time during our weekend in Bellevue. We were there for a reds game and the house is a reasonable walk to the shuttle stop which takes you to the stadium (we even had a 5 and 3 yr old able to walk it). There are good food option within walking distance too and awesome ice cream. The house is great! Comfortable beds, plenty of space for everyone and lots of character. The owners are very easy to work with and very helpful. We hope to be back next year!!

Historic Beauty

  • 4 of 5

This is a beautiful old home, with solid historical roots. It is obviously well-loved. For those who care to take a walk-about, the surrounding neighborhood is filled with incredible architecture. We loved almost everything about the property. However, we would like to suggest a couple of improvements. First and foremost, the beds are rather uncomfortable, so better mattresses are in order. Secondly, the kitchen needs an update in the utensil department. For relatively little money, this home could be truly outstanding.

Nice home with lots of character in a great location

  • 5 of 5

It worked out really well for our two families of four. It was close to everything you need while on vacation. The mattress in one of the bedrooms was a little uncomfortable, but other than that, we had no negatives.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Which mattress did you find uncomfortable? While I have a little down time with winter, it would be a great time to refresh those types of items. Should you come back around to the Cincinnati area again, please look us up.

Lots to do in Bellevue and Newport without having to go into Cincinnati!

  • 4 of 5

We all enjoyed the stay at a lovely historic home. Quiet, safe neighborhood, close to everything. The home was very clean and Jane was quick to respond to any need. The third floor was somewhat difficult to navigate, however, we all still loved the beautiful home. Would recommend it to others. Thanks so much.

We so enjoyed being in this lovely home. It worked out so well for my family !

  • 5 of 5

This wonderful home was a perfect place for us to be as we were in town for a family wedding. When we weren't out and about with the wedding festivities, we enjoyed being at home watching some college football and even getting in a game to two of euchre ! We would come back here again if we are in the area and need great accommodations. Thank you so much, Jane.

Great place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

First of all, Jane was very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. A group of 5 of us stayed in the home very comfortably. The home is tastefully updated and clean, while maintaining the great character of an old home. It is in a convenient location; closer to downtown Cincinnati than I expected - we watched fireworks from The Great American Ballpark from the front porch! And, there are many other great locations within minutes from the home. I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your home. When travelling in a group, it's so much nicer to have the space of a home rather than cramming into multiple hotel rooms.
