About the property

This well-appointed, unattached custom home is less than 8 years old and features a private, spacious master suite with fireplace, jacuzzi tub for two and a private deck for sunning, snacks and cocktails. This bright, spacious main floor is wide open for relaxing and group dining, including a large beautiful deck for dining al fresco and viewing the ocean. The main floor also features a private sun room with a small TV for kid's movies and quiet time. There's a gas grill on a small deck off the sun room.

You'll love the open and light feel of this main floor; vaulted ceilings in the living room, barn-wood classic dining table for 10 and contemporary granite and stainless cook's kitchen are all made more luxurious with a backdrop of warm hardwood flooring. The three bedrooms on the first floor are well-suited for guests, family and children, with a private bath attached to one suite and a shared full bath (with tub) for the other two rooms.

About Pat McKeefery

Our family is a Sea Isle 'generational' family. This is our home, and all of our memories are here -- teaching my boys how to surf, finding breakfast at the little bakery down the street, boating with my Dad and Uncle, or simply grilling burgers out back when all the cousins were in town -- this is what shore life is for our family. For over 60 years.

Pat McKeefery purchased this house in 2004

Why Pat McKeefery chose Townsend's Inlet

This property is convenient to everything you will need: a family bakery, a grocery store and restaurants, and even bathrooms in a brand new building on the beach. You are a block-and-a-half from both the beach and the bay, and just 8 blocks from the inlet at the Avalon bridge, which features scenic views and access to the more active community there.

What makes this house unique

Sea Isle is perfect for families and couples or friends. Doc McGrogan's Oyster House is just around the corner and is renowned for it's oysters and and seafood. Sea Isle is the 2nd oldest shore town on the East Coast. And you're not that far from Wildwood -- fun rides, great boardwalks and amusements for the kiddies!

Great location, responsive owner, house needs some attention

  • 3 of 5

This home had a great location. The beach, ice cream shop and small grocery store are all a short walk. Pat, the owner, was very responsive anytime I reached out. He was extremely easy to communicate with. There were a few things about the house itself that need some attention. It was not very clean upon arrival. The ceiling fans above the beds had a thick coat of dust. The drawers in the kitchen and the closets in the bedrooms were full of clutter. The mattresses on some of the beds clearly need to be replaced. And new sheets need to be purchased being that some of them had stains. The pots and pans in the kitchen need to be replaced as most of them are unusable. This home was more expensive than comparable homes I looked at but I chose to go with it expecting it to be well kept. I think if you are going to charge a premium price, a premium product needs to be delivered and in this case it was not.

Owner's Response: Susan, I am so sorry. We work hard upgrading things and trying our best to make guests have a perfect experience. We have been a top 3 VRBO rental in Sea Isle for many years and we strive to keep that honor. There is no excuse for the house not being perfect when you arrived. However the maids told me the guests prior to you were the worst we had in 14 years. The house was filthy and in shambles. I was called to the house immediately to fix what I could. The maids cleaned from 10-2. They moped the kitchen floor 3 times, they ran out of time to make it 110% (which they always do). I have never in 14 years had a "clean house" issue. I will inform them to clean the top of the fans. As far as the drawers, I always leave things (clutter) in the drawers, (restaurant brochures, pens, paper, glue, flashlights etc). I also leave spices, cooking oil etc. I will check to see what else could be in them. I replaced all beds in 2016 and replaced mattress covers, I will reorder mattresses again. Sheets are to be cleaned, folded and put on the beds by the previous tenants. Clearly this did not happen. Incoming tenants can't be sure the sheets were cleaned. I will dispose of all sheets and replace. We highly recommend new tenants bring their own sheets and take them home to clean, because there is not enough washer dryer space at check out time. Pots and Pans have already been purchased and put into the house. The tenant after you told us they were ruined, we didn't know. Thank you for your feedback, and thank you for leaving the property in great shape!

Great House -- Short distance to the beach was unbelievable.

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home. Accommodates numerous people and is a spread out single family home. Walking distance to the bay, the beach, and various restaurants. I highly recommend renting this home. Not only was the house beautiful but the neighbors along the street were so kind.

Amazing, spacious house with an awesome vibe

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was incredible! The house was exactly as described in the listing. Everything went very well with accessing the property and making our stay enjoyable. To be honest, the pictures did not do the place justice, it was much larger than the pics indicated. Overall, an awesome experience and would recommend anyone to stay here in the future.
