Olympic House A quiet 5 star stay by Tahoe Rim Trail away from the summer crowds

The ski season is over which means you pretty much have the whole block to yourself. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Olympic House is located directly across the street from the Stagecoach lift at Heavenly and the trailhead for the Tahoe Rim Trail. The best access for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer and fall. A 1/2 mile away is the community pool and hot tub. A fully stocked kitchen includes coffee and waffle bar for breakfast before you hit the slopes or trail. Wifi with work space and free parking included.

The unit is a three floor WALK UP so be prepared. These are interior stairs so there is never any snow to deal with. The entrance to the unit is at the top of the stairs. Entering the unit you will find the Kitchen /dining area with a balcony overlooking the slopes across the street. There is a gas BBQ for your use on the balcony. This level also has two bedrooms and a bathroom. Upstairs is a large loft area with two sets of bunk beds, one of which has a queen bottom. There is a 55 inch TV and couch here as well. The second bathroom is on this level.

There are 5 free Community spaces 30 yards uphill available with our permit though not guaranteed they are usually available.
Snow removal included. Note due to construction new pool and spa will not open until June 2026.

Absolutely close enough for ski in and out. Walk across a small one way street and you are there. Very comfortable to be with family but not tripping over family. My first vaca home that had an iron skillet and a grill. Perfect for us. Just minutes away from shopping, hiking and casinos. Snow was melting fast and they made sure to offer ideas of nearby resorts that didn't have the fast melt. I'll be back.

Perfect location

Unit was exactly as represented and we had a wonderful stay. Lift across street was huge plus and owner is very responsive. Stairs were not an issue as they were inside.

great location

the home was very clean and well stocked I'm the kitchen. plenty of towels and the owner was very accessible if we had questions..it was a great location right across from the ski lift you can't beat it. we had three families with three kids we think at least two or three more kids could have stayed comfortably there.. we would definitely consider staying there again

Great Location

This property was perfect for our family ski trip. It is super convenient to the lift! Plenty of kitchen accessories, and great hang out space for the kids upstairs. Large kitchen table was great for playing games and cards. Convenient parking and laundry facilities in the garage.

True Ski In / Out

Perfect location. It's just a walk across the street to snap into your skis and get to Stagecoach. Everything you could need for your stay is in the condo. Plus, Tanner's coffee is great!Community pool and hottub a short drive ... i wouldn't recommend walking it -- especially with somw tured legs.Hosts are very responsive and we even got some help shovelling out after a blast of snow. I'd definitely stay here again!

Location, location, location

We stayed for four nights over President's Day week with our daughter and three of her high school friends (all juniors). It was a great trip and most of what made it great was how wonderful Steven's place was to stay.The location cannot be beat for easy access to skiing. We stashed our skis in the garage, so all we had to do was walk down the stairs (38 btw) with our boots in hand, put them on and carry the skis 50 feet to where we could ski down to the Stagecoach lift. Getting back was just as easy. The four teenagers could decide on their own how early to get going and when to take breaks, and we didn't need to coordinate. A couple of times they opted to take a brief snooze after lunch. It let everyone be a lot more relaxed and minimized friction with the teens.The layout of the condo worked really well for our group. The loft area has two bunk beds so each of the teens got a bed of their own. There are also a couple of couches and a big screen TV and a bathroom all their own. The teens had their own space and we mostly kept out of it. We slept in the room with the king bed, which was far away from the teen zone and we didn't hear anything despite the teens being up late a couple of times.The condo feels like you're staying in someone's house. The kitchen was well stocked. I was pleasantly surprised to find ziplock bags, spices, oil/vinegar, oatmeal, fig bars, and waffle supplies. There was a good supply of pans and nice knives.Highly recommended!

When Olympic house became available to us five years ago, we jumped at the chance, knowing what the location has to offer
Our children were all competitive skiers, and we traveled to many out-of-state ski resorts, which has given us a great appreciation for what we have right here.
