About Jocelyn Littlejohn

We love the mountains and lake and realized we needed to get away from the city (Sacramento) and visit here more often. Owning a second home was never in our thoughts until a certain visit to the area. Once the idea came to light, there was no turning back.

Jocelyn Littlejohn purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Jocelyn Littlejohn chose Bijou Pines

We had looked at a number of houses in town, and as soon as we walked into this Tahoe Cabin we knew right away that this would be our 'home away from home'. The quiet neighborhood, the knotty pine interior, fireplace, large backyard, and being near so much that South Lake Tahoe has to offer are what we love so much.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin is so close to everything here. It is an easy to walk around the neighborhood, to the lake, the recreation center, grocery store, etc. You can take a short drive to Stateline or to the many hiking trails. It is also a great place to just stay put and enjoy the solitude.

The “Real” South Lake Tahoe Experience

  • 5 of 5

The home/cabin is located in a quiet, serene, and woodsy neighborhood. We loved the easy access to groceries (huge Safeway) and the lake. And it is just far enough away from the casino strip. My wife and I walked from the home to Stateline in about 25 minutes. Serendipitously, I discovered a DMV office in the neighborhood and managed to renew my driver’s license in 15 minutes; at home, it would have taken half a day. On this visit, I learned about the tension between year-round owner/residents and homeowners who rent their homes to vacationers like me. For me, the real South Lake Tahoe experience is to stay in a home like this one rather than in a glitzy casino hotel. So I am hoping that the option of renting a home will always be available. Jocelyn is the most gracious, hospitable, and understanding manager I have ever dealt with. Her beautiful home is cozy, well appointed, and fully furnished. My family and I can’t wait to come back again.

What a beautiful cabin tucked away yet close to everything. We had an amazing stay. The cabin was well stocked with everything you could think of from games and movies to kitchen utensils. Plenty of sleeping areas and a great family room. We would definitely rent this cabin again!!!

Overall summary of our stay is Highly Satisfactory

  • 4 of 5

We enjoied a very comfortable and well equiped cabin with only one remark-We missed an electric cattle in the kitchen. Unfotunately non of us (4 adults) made use of the Espresso coffe machine nor the Coffe Filter machine.

All the rest was highly acceptable and made our stay very enjoyable.
