Water front log home

This log home features 5 bedrooms. The master bedroom is located on the second floor overlooking the vaulted ceiling great room. It has a king bed and also a full bathroom. On the main floor you will find 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each. There is a full bathroom on the main floor also. The kitchen, dining area and family room (60 inch tv) are located on the main floor surrounded by vaulted ceilings of notty pine. From there you can walk out onto the deck and take in the fresh air of the adirondacks. From the deck you can watch your kids play on the lawn or in the water. You have a perfect bird's eye view of everything. In the walk out lower level there are 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed (bunk beds are twin xl). There is also a beautiful bar area to gather around. There is a 60 inch television and some couches to relax and watch your favorite show. From there you can walk directly out the sliding glass doors to the water. There is wireless wifi if you need to use the internet. If you want to experience the Adirondacks this is the place for you. There are deer, chipmunks, ducks and even loons that you can see right from your private log home. Linens will be included in all stays (bedding and bath and hand towels.) Gas Fireplace is not in use.

Second beautiful stay at Camp Chiffy! Home is spatious and clean with plenty of spaces to eat, play games, prepare meals, and spend time together. Lovely firepit area and nice dock system that was able to accomodate our 23 ft speedboat. Home is close to Old Forge center and a 6 minute drive from many shops and restaurants. Communication is excellent. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful week in the log cabin. Everything was clean and well cared for. We loved the big spacious main room, where we (a multi-generational family) could all hang out together. The kitchen was very well stocked, with pots, pans, everything we needed. We enjoyed the the big lawn where the kids could play and the adults could watch the boats go by. We ate all our meals on the deck. The kayaks were fun. We will definitely return!

We had a great week long stay at camp chiffy. The house was perfect for 6 adults 5 kids. Waterfront access, close to town and hiking. Highly recommend!

Perfect location

House was extra clean and kitchen was great. Host was very responsive to all questions. Actually ran into someone on boat who told us they stayed at Camp Chiffy last year, the same week and also loved it!

This place was beautiful. The pictures are great but seeing it in person is amazing. It's a great location close to Old Forge and Inlet where we like to visit. It was very peaceful there as well. We had a great trip even though the weather was a bit rainy. Having such a big place was great when we had to avoid the rain. Vincent was always really responsive if we had any questions. Also the kitchen is really well stocked with pans and utensils. The fridge was very big so we had a great time preparing meals. Also having the dishwasher and washer/dryer was super helpful. Internet worked great too.

Beautiful place for vacation!

We had a lovely week in this beautiful lakeside cottage. Gorgeously decorated, clean and well maintained. Well-stocked kitchen and a grill that is nicer than ours at home. Temperature was comfortable indoors and the firepit and waterfront were great for nights by the fire. My husband was even able to bring and park his boat there! We are excited to come back again!

Fantastic house in a great location

This is a great house, very clean with good size rooms. The docks & kayaks provided hours of entertainment on the water. I loved that the house is set back from the road. The separate living areas are great with 3 families to have the kids downstairs while the adults can talk upstairs. We ate outside every evening on the lovely deck. Only wish there were blankets on the beds.

Family Vacation

Camp Chiffy never disappoints! It is so perfect for our growing family. Our kids and grandkids had an unforgettable week of building memories together. The property is gorgeous, the new docks were perfect for our boat and our avid fisherman. Everyday ended with a fire in the beautiful fire pit! We all love camp Chiffy and hope to stay again soon!

Best winter vacation ever

The house is perfect. Very roomy. We had a wonderful time. Local skiing is great for beginners. The town people are friendly and warm. The house is clean and perfect. The owner is always there to answer a question. Easy access. Beautiful views. Just perfect in every way.

Great As Always

We had a wonderful time. The cooler weather fostered more hiking and biking. We still went out tubing and cruising in the rented pontoon boat. The house was comfortable and well-equipped. Mr. Chiffey kept us abreast of the information we needed as we stayed there. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Amazing as Always

I cannot say enough about the owner and his property, this was our third time renting with vinny and each and every time it does not disappoint. There were some pleasant upgrades this year a new air conditioner in the main area which works AMAZING and the new fire pit which we enjoyed as many nights as we could. Thank you Again Vinny for sharing your home with our family we can't wait to come back next year!

I have always dreamed about owning a home in Old Forge on the water. I grew up about an hour south of Old forge in the town of New Hartford, NY. I use to go up to Old Forge to boat during the summer and snowmobile and ski in the winter. I still live in New Hartford and have a wife and 2 kids (13 and 14.) I graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy and now own 3 independent pharmacies with my family in Utica, NY. My family and myself love the outdoors and try to keep active.

When I saw this property I knew I had to have it. The open vaulted ceiling covered in notty pine was the big selling point for me. It made me really feel like I was part of Adirondacks. I have so many old memories with my friends and family up here. I bought this property so my children can have great family memories like I had growing up.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

I looked at many places to purchase in Old Forge. This place had it all. The open floor plan, walls of notty pine, 1.3 acres of land, long driveway off the main road, and 3 docks on the water. Not to mention, a LOG HOME (how awesome is that.) The most important thing this home has, is a walk out basement that has a gradual slope to the water. Many of the homes on the water have stairs or hills you have to climb down to get to your dock. I wanted a home that was level with the water. Many of my renters are looking for this benefit also.
