We were so happy to find a location close to my daughter’s sorority at UF that allowed pets. Although the overall home was fine we had a few hiccups. First, the AC was not working. When brought to the owners attention they told us it could not be fixed until the following week. If it were my property I would have paid to have an emergency visit by a 24hr service for my guests sake, Fortunately, it was not miserably hot that weekend but during the day it would get warm and we kept the fans throughout the house on high the entire stay. The other description we felt was misleading was parking. There is no formal driveway at this home and the parking space in front of the home is a city spot that says you will get towed without a decal. We ended up parking on the yard because we were worried about getting towed. The host told us there was parking down the street at another home, but we could not identify what they were talking about and it appeared students or someone else was using the parking. I will say the host was responsive, but did not do anything but apologize for the AC being out. The back bathroom also has windows with no coverings that the neighbors could see straight through so no one showered/dressed in that bathroom. If the AC would have worked I think our experience would have been better, but sleeping warm is not our thing. Yard is fenced which was great for letting dogs out.
