Close to everything - Drift Away is on the lake, only a 6 minute drive to the top of WISP, and a 10 minute drive to Shop 'n Save and all the other shopping, restaurants and fun centers in McHenry. In 10 minutes by boat or 15 minutes by car, you can get to the Honi Honi Bar and many other great restaurants. Drift Away has everything - indoor pool, hot tub, game room, spacious deck with gazebo, surround sound TV, large yard, fire pit, dock for boat tie-up, fishing and deep clean water swimming. Very flat lot, directly on the lake, beautiful lake views from the dock, yard, deck and most rooms.

Beautiful, spacious rental. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our group. The indoor pool was a plus for the kids, while the adults enjoyed the hot tub! Great location, wonderful view of the lake. Our host was very attentive and made sure our stay went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time! The house was in a quiet area and very spacious. Was great for the kids with the pool (very safe with loud alarm for those concerned) right off the kitchen and downstairs play area. Adults loved the hot tub and updated bathrooms. We will likely rent again!

Our family of 11 adults had a wonderful stay at Drift Away. The 7 bedrooms and 7 full bathrooms afforded everyone the privacy they needed. We also found the amenities convenient and enjoyable, such as the dock, kayaks, canoe, stand up paddle boards, pool, hot tub, and fire pit. We would definitely rent this beautiful home again!

Amazing lakefront property! We stayed as a group of three families and had more than enough space for everyone. The pool, hot tub, and private dock were perfect, and we loved having so many amenities right at the house — kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, and more. The amenities suited all of our family's needs and more. We felt right at home. It's roomy, laid out well, and there seemed to be something for everyone, no matter the age. I doubt that we will find another place so well-suited for our entire family--14 and one on the way, ages 2-73. This was a vacation filled with life-time memories!

House on the Lake

There's lots of room and plenty of things to do on the property. It's at the end of the road with very little traffic that makes it even quieter.

Such a wonderful getaway

This property has a beautiful view of the lake. The large deck gives you ample space to enjoy with family and friends. The kids found plenty to entertain themselves. It is definitely a home I will book again in the future.

Our family throughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The home was beautifully kept and all amenities were outstanding. The lake view is gorgeous. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Our family did not use the pool, but it looked clean and sparkling! Pool table, shuffleboard and games were enjoyed by all. The spacious living room and family room gave plenty of room to spread out and and relax. The kitchen was well equipped and we found everything we needed to prepare family dinners. We couldnt have asked for more. The owners provide guests with detailed instructions which insure that this home is loved and maintained in excellent condition.

The house and views are beautiful! Ken, the host, is so accommodating and kind. The house exceeded our expectations and was so perfect for our family! It had more than enough room! Our children and grandchildren had a blast with the SUP and kayak. The young ones especially loved the zip line! My husband and I loved watching them have so much fun! The large deck, hammock and fire pit were a hit with us!

Great weekend away

We had a great weekend with our friends at Drift Away. We picked this house for our annual family friend's weekend because of the outdoor space, indoor pool, and amble bedrooms. All were excellent. Our kids had a blast playing in the pool, riding the zip line, and playing in the downstairs space. The house was very family friendly with lots of beds and items to make the stay comfortable. There was a pack and play, high chair, and other baby/toddler items, too. We would love to come stay again!

Family vacation

Ken was very responsive and easy to work with. The house was beautiful, clean, and very kid friendly. They have bumbo style seats, 1-2 swings, and a baby tub. The large deck has gates that can be closed to contain children and prevent falling down the stairs. There seemed to be life jackets for all ages. There is a sandbox with some toys. The pathway down to the lake was easy to walk even for children. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!

The home was better than the pictures even portray, the pool door alarm with littles made me feel so safe, the amenities were top notch and the newly redone bathrooms were gorgeous! We got snow and ice during our stay and the host was easy to contact and more than helpful with information and got us plowed out quickly! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
