Overall great place. It was exactly as described and fit our group of 8 perfectly. The trails were nearby and there was enough parking for 4 vehicles along with 3 trailers. The house across the street looked a little sketchy but we didn't have any problems. I would stay here again.
No kitchen drying towels , Short on paper goods like toilet paper and paper towel Had a hard time figuring out the thermostat and the first night was very cold Limited Television options when we were there Driveway was all ice which made it very difficult to walk up and down Overall it’s a fine place to stay and we have stayed two years in a row. We will use it in the future it would just be nice to have a few more creature comforts
There were plenty of bedrooms to accommodate our group. Host was easy to communicate with. Really enjoyed using the pellet smoker/grill. Dining space was limited. Quiet neighborhood made for a nice stay.
This property is perfect for a family. It's laid back, no frills, but very clean and roomy. The property host is easy to communicate with. The property is near highways - easy for travelling around the area. We would highly recommend.
Was plenty of room and very clean but lacked enough seating at night to relax after a long day of riding Too few of dishes for the amount of people it will sleep Would still recommend as it was ideal and very close to trail 49
Really impressed with the owners' extra touches that made our stay so much more comfortable. Loved the make-up clothes, condiments in the fridge, and shampoo if you needed it. All four bedrooms were equipped with TV's which entertained the grandkids.
Overall all four of us found the premises to our liking and we would definitely consider staying there again in the future. We appreciated the coffee on hand for guests. Suggestions for improvement: The kitchen lacked some items that would have been helpful for meal prep. For instance, we needed a measuring cup and could not locate one. Some electrical outlets in the house were difficult to access without having to move furniture to get at them (living room, bedroom). Some bedrooms had no bedside lamps and no rods or hangers for clothing, both annoying omissions. The front foyer could use more hooks for jackets too.
Owner has worked to make this space nice and it was big enough to accommodate our two families. It was clean and had plenty of sheets and towels. However, we ran into issues with the AC (it was very hot when we were there) - the unit couldn’t adequately cool the bedrooms and leaked water from the condensation drainage. Most of the year that wouldn’t be an issue, we just picked a hot week. I didn’t know the area previously so was surprised that it was in a neighborhood and while the house (one side of a duplex) was in good condition, many other nearby homes were very run down. But location is convenient between the Soo and St. Ignace.
Plenty of beds. Could have been a little cleaner in places. AC upstairs was only in 1 room and crazy loud. Hot water heater was not enough for 3 young kids and an adult to shower. Kitchen could have used a few more things, such as a few big serving/popcorn bowls. Few more plates etc, seemed like we were always doing dishes. Master bath Fan was missing and overall bathrooms could have used a shelf or 2 and towel bars in Master. Toilet lever was broken. We also had an electrical issue due to AC, Host was 30 mins later than he said , but did respond withing 2 hours and fix it. All in all it was fine no major issues just needed a bit of maintenance, cleaning, and a few more niceties you find in many VRBO's.
