We came to Fort Lauderdale to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday with a group of 15. We requested early check-in due to guests arriving from different areas, but that was denied, which we completely understood.Unfortunately, once we arrived, we were underwhelmed. There was an odor in the home, and the cleanliness was not what we expected. There were also no basic cleaning supplies available (broom, dustpan, vacuum, etc.). For a large group, supplies were very limited—only one roll of paper towels and one extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom.The pool area was especially disappointing. It did not look as pictured, there was no cover, umbrellas, or shade, and the pool light was not working and was dangling from the wall. We also found eyelashes and bandaids floating in the pool. Pool maintenance was done in the middle of the day while our guests were swimming, requiring everyone to get out for approximately 45 minutes.We also asked the hosts for local restaurant and bakery recommendations for the birthday celebration. We were simply told to get a cake at Publix and given a restaurant link. We were hoping for a more personal and helpful welcome.Most concerning was discovering that an attached section of the home was occupied by others and locked off from our side. This was not disclosed to us beforehand and made our group uncomfortable.Overall, the stay was not terrible, but it fell short of expectations. For the price, we expected a cleaner, better-equipped property, a po

We asked on Sunday if it was as possible to have an early check in. The property managers did not respond until the day of, stating that they would let us know if the cleaners finished early. I reached out again a few hours before check in and I received an answer that they “weren’t sure” if the cleaners were done, which lead me to believe they did not communicate with the cleaners in general. On arrival to the Vrbo, there were shades that had fallen off the windows at some point and were laying over the back room’s dresser/floor. The house smelled like mold so I’m not sure that there were even cleaners in the house that day. There were obvious signs of water damage throughout the house. The front of the house actually had visible duct tape that seemed to be holding it together. I then informed the owners that the upstairs shower was not draining properly. I was informed that they would have maintenance come the following day. They never showed. The power then went out the following day due to a storm. It was out all day. All of our food went bad, we had to unexpectedly go out to eat, and could use no amenities that were agreed to. When I asked the owners for a partial refund, they acted surprised that I would ask for this. They said they would “talk to the owners” and never got back to me. It seemed to me that their responses were all AI. All in all, I would not recommend this area to book.
