From the moment you set foot in this gorgeous Savannah Brick townhouse you will feel the like an authentic Savannah native. This home is cleaned and polished for vacation guests who love antique charm but desire the cleanliness of a hotel. Furnished with comfortable contemporary furniture along with beautiful antiques and decorated with genuine Savannah memorabilia and art, including historical information about this very house.

Situated in an ideal spot between Forsyth Park and River St, this home is convenient to a large grocery store (Kroger), restaurants and many shops. Parking is free and easy on the street outside this home. You can easily walk to Clary's Cafe or Firefly Cafe both are barely 2 blocks from the home. There are literally hundreds of other restaurants within 0.5 to 1 mile of this address!

This is a 3-story classic townhouse with a separate apartment on the ground level (not part of this listing) and the 'main house' which is this listing is comprised of floors 2 and 3. There are 2 Bedrooms upstairs, each now has a King size bed (as of Feb 2015). There are now 2.5 bathrooms in the home! One full bathroom is en suite with the back bedroom and a 2nd full bath is accessible from the hallway. A half bath is downstairs next to the kitchen. There is a pullout sofa bed in the 'sun room'.

With this home, guests who want genuine Historic Savannah 'charm' have a fantastic option.

When you make your reservation you will download a rental agreement with the address. When you arrive at the home you will find a notebook with information such as the wifi network and password.

The 2 King beds will be made up with sheets, like a hotel. The Queen sleeper sofa in the back den has sheets in the cabinet across from it. The house sleeps 6 in the form of 3 couples in those 3 sleeping spots. We do not advertise the upstairs office futon as a sleeping spot. If someone small wants to sleep on it without folding it down flat they can bring their own sheets to do that. At this time the owner does not wish to have that utilized as a bed. We provide 8 bath towels. Bring your own beach towels or any extra you may need. Washer and dryer are in the house for your use.

                                                          The apartment was just what we wanted -- a little bit away from the hustle/bustle of downtown and therefore quiet but also near enough to walk to most sights. It was old but well-kept and very suitable to our needs with 2 1/2 baths 2 bedrooms. It was in a nice area of town with a Kroger store within walking distance. We spent a very comfortable four nights there. Rental was prompt and easy, and getting in and out of the apartment was easy as well. All in all, I would recommend to anyone who wants a quieter place to stay that's still within a reasonable distance of downtown.

                                                          Overall, this place was awesome. The location couldn't have been better. The neighborhood was great. Was sad to see one of the outdoor spaces under renovation, but with 2 others, we more than made it work. The only suggestion I have which I left in a note for the owner was to have more than one key. The deadbolt locks on both sides of the door with a key. I didn't feel safe leaving someone locked inside while they were sleeping, so early morning coffee shop, or late night strolls had to be planned carefully. Other than that....we had a great time. We loved all the history of the house located inside as well as the decor. We will be back.

No need to ask how far we are from the Historic District because we are smack dab in the center of the 1 square mile that makes up the official Landmark Historic District.
