Home away from home

Very cute place, my family and I felt very welcome. It was very clean, well stocked and homey. My daughter loved feeding the chickens and the owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I would recommend my friends and family to stay here and would stay here again on our next trip to the area.

Fantastic views of the lake in a rural setting. It should be noted that this is not an entire house but a suite in the lower level. Hosts were fantastic and easily available if we needed anything. Well stocked home.

Lovely Stay with Beautiful Lake Views and Family-Friendly Comfort

Such a great spot with stunning views of both Wood Lake and Kalamalka Lake! Our kids absolutely loved feeding the chickens, which was a fun experience for them. The place was very clean and comfortable, and we felt at ease letting our little ones crawl around on the floor. While we could occasionally hear foot traffic and voices from upstairs, it was never disruptive. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Welcome to our farm. I was born and raised in Kelowna and have had the privilege to grow up in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. With knowing the area well, I'm happy to help with planning your vacation activities! I'm a registered nurse and farmer. My partner Arne, is German born and he and his family moved to Kelowna when he a youth. He speaks German fluently. I can speak French as a second language, so together we can assist travelers from French and Germanic backgrounds.

Why they chose this property

Oyama is a gem in Lake Country largly known for its agriculture. There's something for everyone. Enjoy fresh fruits and seasonal vegetables. We love explore tastings at the local vineyards. During the warm season, we enjoy paddling and boating in the beautiful lakes. On slower paced days, we head up to the fishing lakes or hiking in the mountains. There's plenty of exciting activities with horseback riding on site, or we have fun hopping over to the Oyama zip line and Adventure Park with the kids. There's so much to do here. We love to take the kids cycling around the lakes along The Rail Trail, and stopping for ice cream or pizza at local restaurants. Or we enjoy the various parks and beaches in the area.

What makes this property unique

Our property is an active farm with chickens, honey bees, and blueberries (juvenile plants 2024). In the coming 2-3 years, our plants will mature, and we will offer upick to our guests. Other activities include seasonal horse riding through Okanagan Stables, hosted on the farm.

We offer farmland for community use and encourage people to get out and grow their own food.

We also have fresh chicken and turkey eggs upon request for $6.25/ dozen.
