Nestled on the mountainside of the San Juan River Resort, this attractive mountain retreat, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home with Studio above the garage for a 4th bedroom and 3rd 3/4 bath has magnificent views and is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Area and 10 minutes from Pagosa Springs. Pets allowed with permission.

Serendipity Home: Sleeps up to eight in 3 bedrooms in the main house and a 4th bedroom in the studio over the garage. Main house has two with queen beds, and one with two twins. The studio has a double w/3/4 bath. The home has large windows, a large, covered front porch, and a wrap around deck for enjoying the breathtaking views. The pine paneling, gas log fireplace, cowboy decor, fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher, washer, dryer, games, high-speed reliable Starlinks wireless internet, and 2 satellite TV's with movies provide just the right atmosphere and amenities to fully enjoy your stay.

The property was pet friendly, although we did not bring our dogs with us on this trip. The cabin was beautiful and easy to find. The ski resort was about 15 minutes away and easy to find.

Everything was perfect!

There was a small glitch at arrival which was due to a new cleaning crew locking the garage, but it was resolved and communicated to the owners for future guests. The location was beautiful, relaxing and scenic. The home was plenty roomy and well stocked. The owner checked in with us after arrival and before leaving. We will come back again and again!

Long Weekend Ski Trip

We chose this cabin for our long President’s Day weekend ski trip. We had 4 adults and 3 teens so all of the rooms and beds worked out perfectly. We also rented the above garage apartment for a friend joining us. If you come during or after snow, the roads and drive are plowed but the residual left was also iced over and my sister’s non-4WD vehicle slid down the driveway backwards from half way up. The neighbors seemed annoyed that we had gotten two cars stuck trying to get up the driveway and claimed they tell people to park at the bottom all the time, but eventually helped us out with my husband’s 4WD truck to get the other small SUV’s up the driveway. The house was clean and stocked with linens and towels and basic condiments. However, every soap dispenser in the bathrooms and kitchen were empty so we bought all new soap dispensers after we got settled. The house is 5-10 mins to town and 20 - 25 minutes to the slopes, so the perfect location. The gas fireplace kept the house plenty warm and we felt at home. This location was great for a large family or two small families. Plenty of room, close to all the area’s amenities.

San Juan River Village Stay

The house and studio worked out well for my group of buddies. We stayed three nights as part of our 10-Day motorcycle ride across Colorado. The location was perfect for our planned rides. We did have an issue with the water heater in the Studio not working. Colleen responded quickly and was able to secure the services of a plumber before the third night and offered a discount for the inconvenience.

Beautiful view

The view from the property was beautiful! My mom loved the gas fireplace. We were visiting for my mom’s 85th birthday and the place was perfect for her. The location is close to town and she enjoyed all the shops and the river. We’ll have to stay longer next time!

Great location for Pagosa Springs and National Forests

We stayed in Serendipity for a mini-family reunion. The house is a good size and had all of the features. The location is perfect for access to Pagosa Springs and many trails in the nearby National Forests.

Cabin was nice. View was good. Beds were comfortable. Our 3 kids all did virtual school from cabin. Internet was good enough for 3 zoom calls at once! AT&T cell service was also good. Kitchen was a little tight for us- but we had 2 adults cooking with 3 little helpers.

Loved Serendipity!

We loved our stay in this great home! The house is in a neighborhood but feels very secluded. The views are lovely. The porches, especially the one off the master bedroom, were great hangout places. The kitchen was well stocked. When I got home, I realized that I had left a necklace with sentimental value in the house. I contacted Colleen, who contacted her cleaning crew, and the necklace was found and was mailed to me. I was amazed at that level of care and concern! Thank you, Colleen, for a wonderful week in your great house.

Serendipity was Wonderful!

We loved our stay at Serendipity! It was just a short drive to Wolf Creek and Pagosa Springs, and the cabin was perfectly cozy! We also rented the studio apartment in which my father inlaw bunked! We cooked most of our meals there and had everything we needed! We will definitely come back!

Accomodating Cabin at 7,500'

The drive into the neighborhood greets you with speed bumps and hilly roads like, Steep Road, which identifies it to a tee. The all wooden cabin was warm and accommodating. The stairs were steep leading to the wrap around porch. The view from the porch was beautiful but bested by the master bedrooms veranda. There is everything you need in terms of cook ware including large bowls and a variety of cooking utensils. There is a heart warming assortment of quality spices, teas, coffee and games left from previous guests. There is no fire pit outside. Probably for good reason. The woods are close and all around almost obscuring the neighbors from view.

FANTASTIC Place to stay for snowboarding/skiing and enjoying the hot springs

The house was amazing and it worked out so much better than individual hotel rooms. I have to say that they had the best stocked kitchen we've ever used. Family style breakfasts and dinners were amazing. We used the crock pot to slow cook a brisket stew and it was so yummy after a day on the slopes. There was plenty for room for all of us and a nice table to play board games. The TV was huge, so chilling and relaxing was perfect. The location is perfect, it's right in the middle between the mountain and Pagosa Springs. We didn't have to wake up as early to leave for the slopes and it was still a short drive away to the hot springs. We've done big group outings at hotels before and this was just so much more stress-free. Colleen is very responsive and was such a great host, couldn't have been easier to locate. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you again!​

Great Location, Awesome cabin

We had such a great time at this cabin! We brought our two dogs, and walked all over the neighborhood. You are close to town, and the river. There's lots of board games, which we took full advantage of! The Olympics were on while we were there so we definitely used the TV (which is HUGE). My son loved staying in the upstairs loft area, and we loved having the room across with a patio were we could walk out every morning and see the mountain view. The front porch is great, you feel very secluded even though you are in a neighborhood, and we love watching the hummingbirds. She provides food for them. We also loved having a washer/dryer!! At one point the sink clogged, and she had someone there within an hour who fixed it for us. Such a great vacation and great host!!! We will be back!

Great Ski Cabin

What a wonderful house! We rented this house with two other couples and it was the first time traveling with our 10 month old baby. Everything was clean and organized in the house. The kitchen was fully stocked with great pans and cooking tools. It was an easy house to baby proof. Quiet and beautiful development. Pagosa Springs was a wondeful town and Wolf Creek was a great ski hill. This was a great trip and I would highly recommend this house.

The San Juan Mountains are the most beautiful combination of pine forest, aspens, lakes and rivers in all of Colorado. The Pagosa Springs area remains unspoiled with enough activities for everyone in the family.
