  • A true getaway

"We had a wonderful time my family of five. We got away from the technology and focused on family and nature. We enjoyed the hikes and the quiet seventy. The cabin at night playing cards and enjoying each others company was just what we all needed. Tani went out of her way to help us arrive with the least amount of difficulty. She kept us updated on weather and road conditions. I will definitely return again."

  • This cabin was PERFECT!!!

"Breathtaking views!! This was our first trip to CO and this cabin showed all the beauty that CO has to offer!! It was so peaceful, relaxing and just gorgeous!! You look out the master bedroom window and see all of God's beauty!! And I could just sit on the front porch and take in the views all day long!! Some excellent hiking around the cabin as well. This cabin was stocked with anything you would need for your stay. Had the pleasure of meeting the owners on our way out and they are just wonderful people!! Hope I get the opportunity to come back!!!"

  • This house is a "keeper" !!

"The location was excellent, quiet and peaceful yet close to town. Roomy, clean and attractive! The view from the wrap around deck is breathtaking!! I almost hate to give it a high rating because more people may rent the house and it might make it hard for us to ever get a chance to rent it again in the future!! We sure hope to be back!"

  • Private and Quiet

"Our family of 4 (including two teen boys) stayed at Mark's quaint carriage house 3 nights. Great experience! Even though you're in a residential neighborhood, we never heard any neighbors and the layout is extremely private. Easy, ample parking. Deer were right outside the kitchen window every morning. This little home lives big due to there being two stories, and it's well-stocked/equipped. Mark and his son Chris (who filled in when Mark was away) were both a pleasure to deal with. Couldn't get the DVD player to work, and it was fixed immediately after a phone call. Chris was spot-on with his recommendations for good, casual, family restaurants----both Front Range Barbecue (Southern BBQ with a great vibe-about 12 minutes away in Old Colorado City) and Panino's nearby for Italian. We already knew about Jake and Telly's (Greek) in Old Colorado City and had a great "date night" one night. (Their sauteed calamari is a must try!) We enjoyed the close proximity to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, hiking in Stratton Open Space, and taking a tour of historic Glen Eyrie Castle. Only downside was the master bedroom has a curtain instead of a solid door to close for privacy, but it really wasn't an issue for us. I actually liked the curtain! The side garden must be stunning in summer!"
