Owl Cottage is a charming two-bedroom retreat in the heart of Constantia, Cape Town’s renowned wine valley. Set within beautiful gardens and overlooking vineyards, mountains and a solar-heated pool, it offers a peaceful escape with direct access to the historic Groot Constantia wine estate through a private garden gate.

The main bedroom features a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom has twin beds, making it ideal for children, friends or additional guests. Owl cottage itself is charming, a real home from home and very well equipped. We also loved the well maintained garden and pool area. Having previously stayed at busy Sea Point, we appreciated the peaceful surroundings of Constantia and the incredible views of Table Mountain and the Groot Constantia vineyard. Simply perfect.

Meet Your Hosts

We’re Lucy and James, and together with our two young sons, we’re delighted to welcome guests to Little Vines.

Originally from the UK (Lucy) and Malta (James), we moved to Cape Town in 2017 for what was meant to be a short adventure. We quickly fell in love with the Constantia Valley and all that Cape Town has to offer, and it has become the place we proudly call home.

What we love most about living here is the lifestyle – beautiful vineyards, mountain scenery, outdoor living, and a wonderful sense of community. Whether we’re exploring local wine estates, walking the surrounding trails, or enjoying time with family and friends, we feel incredibly fortunate to live in such a special part of the world.

Hosting at Little Vines is an extension of what we enjoy most: welcoming people and helping them experience the very best of Constantia and Cape Town. Our cottages are designed to be comfortable, relaxed and family-friendly, offering a peaceful retreat while remaining close to many of the city’s top attractions.

We’re always happy to share local recommendations, from our favourite restaurants and wine farms to scenic walks, beaches and hidden gems. As the birthplace of South African wine, Constantia is renowned for its historic wine estates, award-winning restaurants and spectacular scenery. On our doorstep is the historic Groot Constantia wine estate, where guests can enjoy vineyard walks, wine tastings and excellent dining, all within easy walking distance of the cottages.
