First, trying to communicate with the owner was avoided completely. I sent several messages through the VRBO platform and was completely ignored. Second, when we checked into the room, it was even cleaned from the previous person. Bed was unmade, trash stillIn the room, towels were used….gross! The owner did send someone to clean it but at the cost of us having to leave the room. I would not recommend this property to anyone!

Needed more disclosure in description, otherwise nice stay
I don’t normally give reviews, but felt a little more detail in the description could have avoided some disappointment. It did not clarify in the listing that it is part of a hotel, but not really part of the hotel, seemingly the only room with it’s own keypad entrance, so you don’t check in and the hotel staff treat you different as a result. It had a unique room in the bottom floor below the Lobby, no view, next to the pool with strong chlorine smell in hall, though smell in the room was ok. The room was fine as pictured. There was a wad of hair left in the shower, but otherwise clean. The host messaged close to check in and informed us of access cards to the hotel amenities, including the pool and work out area. But we learned, embarrassingly by trial and error, that the other activities of the hotel like the mini golf course, free to hotel guests, was not free to us since we didn’t check in like regular guests. It would just have been nice to have that clarified as opposed to learning the hard way. The area and site is amazing, wildlife, mountains, adorable small town main street just 5 minutes away. Just would have appreciated a little more full disclosure about the circumstances of the hotel and room.

Great location/poor service
The room looks to have just been remodeled. Although it had new finishes, all the walls were coated in thick layer of dust. The shower tile was unfinished, and there was a bunch of left over random items and construction debris left under the cabinets. The coffee maker did not work.We received an unexpected knock on the door around 4 pm on our second day. I saw a text from the host telling me I must let the air conditioning repair man inside. There were no issues with the air that we had reported and were in the middle of showering for dinner reservations. The host offered us another room to move too which we took but once we got to the room it was terrible. It had 2 Double beds, no fridge and was in disarray with the microwave on the desk and limited lighting that worked. At that point the host advised the repair was completed so we packed up again and went back to the room. The other room was in another building so it was not a quick or easy move. I communicated this to the host and sent pictures of the dust, debris etc but was never apologized too or offered anything more than another night at 95 extra. The location is great and the Zermatt property is fun but the host and room did not meet our expectations for a romantic weekend.
