Restored Victorian, Walk & Bike

Completely restored Victorian home that is walking and biking distance to the East Village, Civic Center, Wells Fargo, the world-renowned skate park, and the Iowa Capitol Building. We are right on the bike trail, so bring your bike and enjoys the trails (and indoor bike parking). Or walk to a concert at Wells Fargo Arena or the Civic Center. We are dedicated to making your stay simple and easy. This house is special to us, and we want to share it with you!

This is a 1 bathroom, 2 bedroom (one queen bed and 1 double, and cots if needed) restored Victorian home, perfect for a family of 3 or 4 people. The tiled shower is amazing, not to mention the on-demand hot water heater! We have plenty of off-street parking and indoor bicycle parking. Also check out the discounts for 7-night and 4 week stays. Come and base camp with us, and enjoy everything downtown Des Moines has to offer! Want to canoe or bike? How about some pickbleball or disc golf? Let us know, we can help!

Step Into Victorian Charm!

The modern touches in this quaint, lovely Victorian home will delight you, while the nostalgic accents (a bathroom sink with foot pedals?) are ones you'll want to photograph and share with others! For its age and proximity to medical complexes, this home is amazingly quiet. The bed downstairs was comfortable, although after a long day, I did need to pull up a kitchen chair to help me climb into it. (An antique step-stool might be a helpful addition for short guests like me.) The home was spotless, the wi-fi swift, and after tiring business during the day, felt like a hug upon returning. I will definitely be back!
