A spectacular view of the Bay of Fundy with the world's highest tides, this Grande Pre home is 6 minutes from the town of Wolfville and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Stroll down a couple minute walk to the ocean/dikes where you will find the famous cross commemorating the place where the Acadians were expelled.
Wolfville offers a variety of well-known restaurants, cafés, theater, and is home to Acadia University. Experience Blomidon Park, renowned for it's majestic views.
The natural habitat provides excellent opportunity for hiking, camping, photography
An ideal getaway for families or anyone who appreciates the serenity of the country while only a few minutes from the pleasures of Wolfville.
Enjoy a drink on the deck with spectacular views of the Bay and Cape Blomidon. There's plenty of opportunities shop or try the 13 local wineries and farmer's markets.
Walk along the dikes to fully experience the famous tides of the Bay of Fundy. For food and wine lovers, take a tour of Domaine de Grand Pré and stroll through the lush vineyards, visit the museum, and sip one of their fine vintages.
Enjoy global flair at Le Caveau Restaurant with great food, great wine and a great atmosphere. Local brewery/pub is picturesque and very friendly two minute drive away. You can also indulge your senses at the Just Us Cafe, walking distance from the house, with a tour of the Roastery, Fair Trade Museum and Chocolate Workshop. Tour the 13 vineyards located within 10 minutes.

This century old, renovated home is divided into two separate units with separate entrances, each with its own kitchen, bathrooms dining areas balconies etc. You will have the upper unit which has 2 floors with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms
Incredible views from both the house and the deck.

Fully equipped with everything you could want, cable, internet, BBQ , fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. No need to bring anything but your clothes

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please don’t strip the beds. With this many beds is too confusing for the cleaners to know what went where.
Summer; Turn all the air conditionings completely off winter; turn the heat to seven
Please leave your garbage in the house so we can deal with it without attracting rodents
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No music or loud talking on deck after 10 pm
Must take away your garbage and recycling if you are local. If you flew in please confer with me
No trespassing on farmers field! Two sets of renters have broken his fence and terrorized his cows!

Family reunion

An overall excellent experience.The older house has been decorated tastefully while allowing the charm of the age of the home to blend in with the modern enhancements, The view is spectacular showing Blomidon,the tides of the Bay of Fundy, and the Acadian dykes.encouraging a visit to Grand Pre museum, The owner very pleasant helpful and accommodating. We would love to visit again !

Beautiful views

This is an older style house (three levels) with two different units (one @ ground level and one up a set of stairs). The view out to Blomidon is amazing. This is a typical older rural home (not every corner is square), but the kitchen is upgraded and great for cooking for a larger group. Outside deck is nice to sit out on. Location to Grande Pre and Wolfville is convenient. One improvement would be a working bbq. In general, worked well for two families (combined 8 adults).

Shows a lot of promise and capacity, but some key details need work.

We were impressed with the size of the property and especially the modern kitchens and bucolic view of the countryside. There were a few things that took away from being able to get all the value out of the rental. 1) the article (3rd floor) was incredibly hot and the one fan to cool it down was broken. We no one could sleep up here. Essentially beds for 12 didn't pan out and we had to out sheets on couches. 2) AC on the second floor - it started dripping and pooled water all over the floor by the time we noticed. We turned it off and the owner did arrangement a fix. But it meant going without AC on the 2nd floor for ~a day. 3) water pressure - for the first 36 hours there was no water pressure. Literally impossible to shower until the property manager came out and corrected it. 4) debris around - I found and swept up glass and metal screws from them mudroom which was alarming since we had kids with us and I was concerned about them cutting their feet. Overall the owner was very responsive and eventually helped fix most of these issues, but not all of them and only part way through our rental. I suspect that each subsequent renter will have a better experience as the kinks get worked out. But it was a little frustrating being the guinea pig and for a not insignificant fee.

Fabulous view, loved our stay

Absolutely loved our stay. The view of the Bay of Fundy from the deck was amazing. The place was spacious with updated facilities and beautiful views. The owner was extremely responsive and answered every question immediately and offered information about all the local "must do's." I would rent from Catherine anytime!

I went to university at Acadia in Wolfville and completely fell in love with the area. My dream was always to come back.... years later, i got that opportunity. Each time i look across the bay at Cape Blomidon i get a feeling of complete peace and I know all is well with the world!
