Perched above the ever-changing Bay of Fundy, with views of Cape Spilt, the Crow's Nest offers casual comfort in the heart of Baxter's Harbour. This fully equipped home is the ideal place to adventure from, in all four seasons. Enjoy local wineries, craft breweries, feast on seafood or lounge in bed, watching the eagles soar. Walk one minute down the road to the Harbour and fall in love with our famous waterfall, unique geology and wildlife.

The Crow's Nest offers a private office with high-speed Fibre internet to help you stay in touch or, unplug and lounge on one of three patios. Our fire pit is a great place to end the day and the sunsets are worth raising a glass to!

For those who delight in an early morning, the transom windows in the primary bedroom offers a breathtaking view of the morning sunrise over Scots Bay.

Three outdoor patios provide space for bonfires, outdoor dining or morning coffee and yoga. There's also a private balcony off the primary bedroom that is a guest favourite.

Travelling with bikes, kayaks or SUPs? Use our bunkie/shed for secure storage!

We really loved this place. The decor was wonderful and cozy with a whimsical colour palette. We had everything we needed. Outside there is a choice of outside seating areas including a fire pit. We were just a short walk away from Baxter’s Harbour Falls. We went at low and high tides so we could experience the difference. Wow!The location was excellent. We visited Wolfville, wineries, the Look Off and Halls Harbour. We wished we could have stayed longer.

This property and host are both stellar. The house is very well located to see and tour the Annapolis Valley and its beauty. A very short hike across the road you can walk the ocean floor when the tide is out (be sure to check the tide schedule for the location) and then observe high tide later. The host has thought of everything to make visitors’ stays so comfortable. Everything was totally clean. The beds and bedding are excellent. The blinds are so appropriate. It was amazing to wake up in the master bedroom to a beautiful full view of the Bay of Fundy.An amazing selection of books on shelves throughout with something for everyone. Thoughtful range of games for all ages too.We loved the artistic touches which the host has woven throughout the entire house. The colours, textures, nautical themes…all combine to create a gorgeous environment that is so relaxing. Quality amenities, comfy throws, wonderfully curated furniture for comfort, all made our stay perfect.Hope to come back! Thanks for the local chocolate and hand cream that was left for us too!

Fantastic experience at this lovely property! The house was very clean and super comfortable and had a well stocked kitchen. The surroundings were quiet and we loved seeing the water while enjoying the decks. The rocky beach just down the road is a beautiful spot at low tide. If we come back to the Annapolis Valley we would absolutely want to stay here again.

This property was an absolute delight to stay in. The views nearby are spectacular and it’s the perfect base camp to travel to other nearby locales. The owner was very communicative and helpful. We will definitely stay here again for future trips!

Beautiful, spotless and seamless vacation in Baxter's Harbour

We had a perfect two day two night stay. The home is spotlessly clean and stocked with everything you need (kitchen utensils, pots, pans, bathroom essentials, lots of towels, blankets, linens, etc.). We enjoyed grilling out on the BBQ, exploring the waterfalls, and watching the spectacular tides on the Bay of Fundy. Barb was the perfect host, so responsive and accommodating. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Quiet Getaway

Loved our stay in Baxters Harbour. Everything was as described and the owner was available to answer any questions. Took some long drives and was so nice to come back and relax in the evening. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Beautiful views

Crows nest met all our needs. We walked to the Baxter harbour waterfall and spent time at the Nordic spa, only 5 minutes away. Weather was warm and sunny and we enjoyed some patio time overlooking the Bay of Fundy.

Such a great spot

What an amazing place, and host.Ideally situated if you want to be away from it all, but still close to most things. Quite a number of wineries close by (the Church St winery was our favourite) and the Bay of Fundy is at your doorstep.Barb was extremely responsive and pleasant to all our questions. Check the instructions on the fridge, all we needed was there, but we bugged Barb instead (sorry Barb).I would definitely go back again, the beds were extremely comfortable so we enjoyed some good sleep too.

Incredible Maritime Beauty

From booking, through to check in and check out, this was a dreamy rental experience! The owner was friendly and communicative. The property was clean and had everything we needed to make it feel like home away from home. The location was so relaxing and beautiful. Peaceful,quiet and spectacular view of the bay.

The house has everything you might need. Very nicely decorated and comfortable, yes even the beds which is important to us. It is rural. Still we explored the area and found lots to see and do. We enjoyed every minute and would definitely go back.

Great Getaway

What a great getaway from everything! We spent 3 relaxing nights getting reacquainted as siblings who rarely see each other. The house was even better than we imagined. Great water views, cute decor in every room and local soaps/hand creams was such a lovely touch. Barb was an excellent host and quickly responded to our questions

Amazing Ladies weekend!

I traveled with a group of girlfriends to stay. Theres a beautiful waterfall directly across the street and a nee spa 5 minites away. The space was lovely and we had a wonderful time! The host is super easy to communicate with and had wonderful suggestions. 10/10

Amazing Stay

First let me start with Barb is an amazing host. Everything was perfect from the beginning. Barb was easy to communicate with, the house was beautiful and the spot couldn’t be more perfect. The views were beautiful, and the house was perfect from the decor to kitchen/bathroom essentials. Access to Baxter Falls is steps away from the house, towns close by. You could ask for anything more! I would highly recommend Barb and her rental to anyone travel to Nova Scotia. I would definitely book with her again. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

I highly recommend a stay here! My husband, my teenage girls and I all thought our stay at this house was easily the highlight of our tour around Nova Scotia. The host is clearly a reader as there are cozy nooks with perfect pillows and blankets scattered around the house. A cool breeze blows in off the water and the stress just melts away. I walked the few minute walk down to the coast 5 times in two days and the changing tides and weather kept the experience completely captivating. The bay and Cape Split can be seen from the house when the sky is clear. Just gorgeous!

Lovely place for vacation

We spent three nights at the Crow's Nest at Baxter Harbour and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and well-equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The house is very nicely decorated and a comfortable place to hang out. Communication was great throughout the process. The views of the Bay of Fundy were great. If you stay at the house, you should make it a point of walking down to the Falls at both high and low tide to get a sense of how much the tides rise and fall. The road to the falls is right in front of the house. I highly recommend the house without any reservations!

Welcome to the Crow's Nest and to Baxter's Harbour, your new best please to relax, recharge and boost creativity! I've been living between Nova Scotia and Ontario throughout my life and the call of the Bay won me back a few years ago. Working as a communications professional, the sights, sounds and smells keep my brain sharp.

I live a couple of doors down the road from The Crow's Nest and with years spent working in the tourism and wellness sector, it is my joy to share this special place with you.

I will offer you as much privacy as you need or I'm happy to provide a guided hike, along with my geologist husband and our senior dogs. We love watching the changing shoreline, hunting for amethyst and making wishes as the sun sets.

Please let me know if you need help with adventure planning or if there's any special requests that I can assist with.
