Perfect place for me…close to Family, where they could come for tea or a spontaneous breakfast. Host Olga was genuinely warm and welcoming , and so was the place itself! Lovely amenities in the bathroom, and the kitchen was perfectly equipped.It was a joyful ‘holiday’!

Quaint & Cozy

I had a wonderful visit with my kids. Olga is a kind and thoughtful host. We particularly loved the outdoor space and central location in Cos Cob close to every desired ammenity.

A week before my 2 week stay, the host Olga called me and told me my apartment had been double booked for the second week. She offered that she could move me to her other apartment next door for the second week. She touted the apartment as having a better water view. As I was a single traveler, I agreed to help her out. She was effusive in her gratitude, and agreed that she would think about some compensation for the inconvenience.I was perfectly happy with my original booked apartment. But rather than moving me to the apartment next door, Olga moved me into her own home and she moved to her studio. It was so uncomfortable being in her home.. And the apartment had only a bedroom, breakfast room and kitchen. There was no living room, not even a sofa.. I found only two brandy snifters and three insulated glasses for drinking. The few pieces of silverware were badly tarnished, and there was no stove. There was a microwave and toaster oven on the countertop. The place was not set up for a paying guest. I tried to make it work. But After two nights, I told her I couldn't stay there. She was initially mad, but did soften, saying she was going to sell the place anyway. She agreed to make it up to me. Then I received an email from her offering me "complimentary nights next year." First, it's not complimentary, she already had my 800. Second, I can't agree to come back next year. And what if it sold. That's an empty offer. I complained to VRBO after I got home. We'll see.

We loved our stay at Olga’s in Cos Cob. Her location is wonderful, within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. The apartment is perfectly provisioned with appliances and everything was very clean. There is this wonderful bathtub and lots of hot water. There are charming outdoor spaces for relaxing, and the neighborhood feels very safe. She was very kind and considerate. We would love to stay there again.

Great place that was exactly what we needed. Super close to get the train to go into NYC. Everything was clean and ready for us upon check in. Olga was communicative and available if we needed anything, but we rarely needed her.
