Perfect island getaway for the family

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week stay at the Pink Beach House, and we miss it already. For starters, the owner has done a fantastic job of providing a comfortable "home away from home" in paradise. Karen provided all the information we needed to plan a fun, first trip to the Caymans. The property was everything as advertised ... clean, well-appointed and charming. Karen has provided everything a family would need to enjoy their stay ... plush beach towels, snorkeling gear, reef shoes, pool toys and beach chairs. We spent our first day kayaking along the inside of the barrier reef and saw a spotted eagle ray within minutes of hitting the water. Our two young children -- ages 3 and 5 -- enjoyed splashing around in the pool, combing the beach for "treasures" and exploring the shallows along the shore. This is definitely a house for ocean lovers. And the location couldn't be better. The house is just a short drive to Rum Point which has a nice beach-front bar and grill, a sandy beach that's perfect for small children (and a great place to escape on a windy day) and boats that will take you out to Stingray City. Head the other direction to the East End, and you'll enjoy natural scenery you can't get on the crowded Seven Mile Beach. Be sure to check out two fantastic restaurants, Tukka and Eagle Ray's. At night, we sat on the beach and watched the moon rise over the coconut trees while sipping some of the island's small-batch rum. If you want to experience the Caribbean away from the crowds and noise, I couldn't recommend a better house to stay in. We're already looking at the calendar to see when we can come back.

Owner's Response: It was my pleasure working with you Michael and I'm delighted you and your family enjoyed your stay at The Pink Beach House. I'm so happy that you took full advantage of our protected reef and gorgeous private beach there. It's fantastic that you had a chance to experience Tukka and Eagle Rays as well as Rum Point and all of the amenities there. It sounds likes a perfect getaway and I look forward to having you back again soon. Have a great summer. Best! Karen

Near Perfect Vacation Pad!

  • 4 of 5

Our first few days were spent bemoaning the clouds, showers and near constant winds which seemed to approach hurricane proportions at times. But when the sun finally came out, oh man, what an absolutely grand vacation house! Couldn't use the pool much; the winds deposited much of the overhanging palm fronds and corresponding veg in the pool and on the deck, and the water remained pretty cold all week. But we all enjoyed hanging out on the deck, and the snorkeling just off shore was pretty good. House is well appointed and we loved the location -- away from the Seven Mile Beach cruise ship craziness. Owners communicated really well. Thanks Karen!

Rang in the New Year with Amazing Family Time

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 - including three college-aged sons - spent a week at the Pink Beach House over their winter break and we had a wonderful experience. First off the owner was incredibly organized and provided detailed instructions for car rentals, groceries, restaurants, activities, etc. Her instructions all proved spot on and took all the stress out of traveling to an unfamiliar place. The Pink Beach House itself definitely lived up to all of its 5 star reviews. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The newly renovated kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. There was plenty of gear - beach towels, snorkeling equipment, pool floats, corn hole (we played a ton!), games, puzzles, and tennis racquets/balls. We enjoyed exploring the island, there was plenty to see and do, but mostly we enjoyed lounging around the house and taking advantage of the quiet amenities at the Pink Beach House. We literally had a beach all to ourselves. We would love to return and would highly recommend the home to others.

Beautiful home, beautiful island!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first real trip to Grand Cayman (a cruise stop doesn't count) -- we LOVED it here. This is the perfect place if you want a quiet, relaxing stay, with nearby options for restaurants and activities. We rented a Jeep and drove all over the island and never once felt unsafe. Few main roads make it easy to learn your way around, and it didn't seem crazy far to go all the way back to Seven Mile Beach a few times. The house is well stocked with anything you could possibly need. We loved Rum Point -- Kaibo Beach Bar was our favorite place to have dinner on the beach, and the Wreck Bar was just a fun place. We've traveled a lot, and this is by far my favorite vacation! The only downside was the seaweed on the beach (I think the strong NE winds in the winter probably didn't help this) -- the kids just wanted soft sand that they could run straight out to the ocean. But they spent a lot of time kayaking right at the house, and got a big kick out of all of the coconuts on the property. Not a single "I'm bored" from them! Definitely recommend this house -- Karen is fantastic, starts you out at booking with a huge packet of information to help you figure out what you want to do while you're there. I'd definitely recommend the Stingray City Snorkel (we did Ocean Frontiers right out of Rum Point) -- everyone said so much more fun with snorkels as opposed to just swimming with the massive rays. Starfish Beach was awesome and close, same with the bioluminescent tour (Sweet Spot leaves right out of Rum Point). We stopped at a place along the Southside, I believe Barcadere was the name of it -- beautiful ironshores and very scenic. Just a beautiful island, and we can't wait to go back! Just FYI -- Andy's Car Rental has regular Jeep Wranglers to rent, but Avis/Alamo on the other side of the airport have full size, 4 door Jeeps -- would have been helpful with luggage.

This house keeps getting better and better.

  • 5 of 5

We love this house and the location. It is super private and very functional. We used the pool and the ocean most days.

This is our second stay at the Pink Beach House and they made the house better. The owners really care about their property and the amenities.

In the space of a year, the kitchen was completely remodeled and is much more functional. They added a gas grill to make outdoor cooking more convenient. The pool coping and tile has been redone, and it is beautiful.

This is the best place to stay near Rum Point and one of the best in Grand Cayman. You can not go wrong booking the Pink Beach House!

p.s. If staying here don't buy spices (including salt and pepper) until you see what has been left by previous tenants. There was a stockpile as of December 17, 2017

Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

The moment you walk in and look outside your are blown away by the beauty right out front of the house. The view is amazing!!! Everything you could want is in the house, beach chairs, snorkel gear, pool floats, cooler etc.

It was extremely hot while we were there but the air in the house worked wonderful and by the afternoon there was a great breeze most days to sit on the deck taking it all in.

In my opinion this is the best part of the island to be, away from all the crowds in Georgetown and Seven Mile. We visited those places a couple days but found ourselves back at the peace and beauty at the beach house.

The house is full of beautiful beach artwork. This was the first vacation I have ever had that I cried when I had to leave! The owner is very accommodating! She allowed us to stay a couple hours longer as we had a late flight. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!! I would highly recommend this rental!
