About this property

Lakefront cabin on all-sports lake. Fish, golf, ski. A few summer openings left!

Large 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom cabin, steps from beautiful Heart Lake in northern Michigan. Sparkling deep lake in a gorgeous wooded setting allows you to relax. Heart lake provides some of the best fishing in the area. Miles of state hunting land are located within minutes of the cabin. Multiple golf courses nearby including the renowned Treetops course and resort.

A 60 minute drive will have you in Mackinac City, 40 minutes to Boyne Mountain, and 1 hour 10 minutes to Traverse City and many additional great destination locations!

For winter, the cottage is just 100 yards from trail 7, one of the main snowmobile trails that connect with hundreds of miles of additional trails. Park your sleds in the detached garage. Nearby Treetops and Otsego club offer downhill skiing. With some of the best snowfall in Michigan, Otsego County is in the heart of all of the winter activities including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding -even horse drawn sleigh rides!

The house includes a two-car garage -- so you can leave your recreational toys if you rent more than a week or a month allowing you to travel back and forth downstate. Snowmobiles will be allowed in the detached garage only

The house includes a large master bedroom with a king bed and large private bath with deep soaking tub. The second bedroom has a double bed off of the living area. The third bedroom is a loft with a queen bed and three twin beds. The fourth bedroom is above the garage with a sitting area and TV and a full bath. This is separated from the 5th bedroom by sliding barn doors. There is a third bath off the living area near bedroom two. The living/dining area is open with a vaulted ceiling and log beams with windows that look out on the lake. Total the house sleeps up to 12 - 10 adults max.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Check yard and beachfront for trash and cans , return kayaks and paddles to the rack and stow cushions if rain is predicted.
Trash pick up is Monday Put all trash in the Waste Management bin and ensure it is by the road If trash does not fit, do not leave on top of bin, Please place excess in the wire box near road.
Strip sheets and pillowcases only and place in laundry room please and start a load of towels
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please be mindful of your volume level when outside. The lake carries sounds well , especially in the evenings. Our neighbors are important to us!
Our home and property are smoke free. Please to not smoke or vape on the grounds.

It was a great place for a family getaway. Set up is very well suited for multiple families with space to “get away” for a few minutes inside the home. Loved the fireplace, kitchen will stocked, Jon was a great host.

The place was perfect for snowmobiling. The trails are literally across the street and are close to everything you need for a week trip. Accommodations and layout of the house couldn’t be any better. Just perfect. Our electric went out one night for a few hours and Johnathon offered to put us up at a hotel. Even though we didn’t take him up on the offer, this just shows how much they cared about making our trip a trip to remember. Property is beautiful and I’m sure the summer months are just incredible at this house. We ranked it one of the best snowmobile trips ever.
