Juniper House is a beautiful 2-bedroom/ 2-bathroom condo unit, nestled in the Angeles Forest Foothills area. Offering an amazing view of the scenic San Gabriel mountain range, with easy access to some of the best hiking trails around, and located less than fifteen minutes to Old Town Pasadena, this property won’t only charm you with its interior, but also with its location. The freeway is also easily accessible for a visit to the L.A. Zoo, Universal Studios, or a walk down Hollywood Blvd!

The living room is beautifully furnished with a large and comfortable couch, a sofa chair, gas fireplace, and a Smart TV.
The high windows along the wall combined with the sliding glass doors leading to the private outdoor patio, provide abundant natural light and make this space bright and airy.

Spacious and well-equipped, the kitchen is outfitted with a pass-through opening - providing a view into the dining and living area, a gas stovetop, wall oven, dishwasher, microwave, practical butcher block countertops, and all the cookware necessary. You will have plenty of space to cook delicious meals at home and gather with your loved ones!

The dining area features a dining table sitting four people, and a lovely antique buffet for extra tableware storage.

Elegant and modernly outfitted, the master bedroom suite features a queen-size bed, luxurious linens and pillows, a ceiling fan, and a private bathroom with a stand-up shower.

The second bedroom is furnished with a beautiful metal framed queen-size bed, plush linens and pillows, and a ceiling fan for your comfort.

The main bathroom features a shower/tub combination, perfect to soak in a warm bath after a day filled with activities and excursions.

The property has a large and fully-fenced private back patio lined with beautiful potted plants. Outfitted with lounge seating, an outdoor dining table with an umbrella, and a gas BBQ grill, it’s the ideal spot to get together with friends and family, soak up some sun, and enjoy your holiday in California.

Additionally, all your cutlery and tableware are stocked. Basic spices (sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil) are provided for your cooking needs.

PARKING: One carport spot and open street parking.

Lovely spot

This is a comfortable and well-stocked place. Twisty drive up but lovely neighborhood for walking and pretty views. We enjoyed the patio. Would happily stay here again!

Very nice condo

This was perfect for our stay. There were four adults and our stay was very enjoyable. The condo had everything we needed plus an added gift basket of goodies. Thanks for letting us stay.

Good location, quiet neighborhood.

In the high priced LA market, this place is priced reasonably. The interior is just fine with minor signs of wear, but is as advertised and we enjoyed our stay. It’s location is good, being in a quiet neighborhood, up a small mountain road but close to Pasadena.

Excellent place for Rose Bowl

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. House was perfect for two couples and a great location to the Rose Bowl. Had one issue and contacted the property manager and was resolved immediately! Would definitely return and recommend.

The house is in the Meadows area of Altadena and is very quiet and serene. The house is nicely updated and well appointed. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this rental to friends/family.

Quiet getaway from the city

The home is small but very comfortable, well-furnished, beautifully designed and the host has thought of every possible need you might have. My only concern: I would caution anyone who expects quick access to grocery, coffee shops and gas stations--these things are not close by, all are 10 to 12 minutes away by car. You are getting away from it all up in these quiet foothills. Once settled, we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace with friends and relaxing. It's a nice little spot to escape to.

Well Equipped and Very Clean Home

Owner called during our stay to confirm all was well, and the management company was very responsive to a few issues we had. It is an older renovated property, so we had some challenges with the electrical system. Couldn't run a hair dryer and microwave at the same time, etc. Had to keep lights off to run curling iron or hair dryer, and go outside to flip breakers back on. One power outage was at night, when only our grandbaby and a sitter were there (she used the microwave). We arrived shortly after and they were in the dark, so we had to flip breakers. It was a heat-wave, so maybe the power draw in the area was creating a problem? Not sure. But apart from the electrical issues and the momentary frustrations that caused (as in trying to get ready for my son's wedding, and breakers going off while I was trying to do my hair!) it is a well-equipped and great place to stay.You will need a car or Uber, as it is located way up in the hills in a completely residential area.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in this home for two weeks in January and found it very comfortable. We were welcomed by a gift basket of treats which was a sweet touch after a long day of traveling. It was so nice to have a private patio with plenty of seating options and even a grill (which we never got around to using). It was also great to have a washer and dryer on hand. The furniture was comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and updated. The gas fireplace in the living room was a big plus for the cool winter evenings and made sitting in front of the TV a cozy experience. At one point the water heater died and our host was super quick to respond and had it replaced immediately. The neighborhood is lovely and I'm glad I got to experience it. I had not stayed in the foothills before and I like to walk for exercise, but hadn't realized how steep some of the streets would feel to me! I thought I'd walk the 3/4 of a mile down the foothills but soon realized I wasn't going to be comfortable walking the turning stretch of road that crests the canyon and has very little room for a pedestrian on the drop-off side and no room on the other side. Instead I drove down to Pasadena and walked the (flatter) neighborhoods there. Pasadena is not far and there was plenty to do and see there, but we always enjoyed coming back to our place in the foothills, as it had all the comforts of home and felt very private.

Beautiful place

This property in Altadena was perfect for when my friends were in town for a visit. Located at the top of a winding road in a beautiful, safe neighborhood, it conveniently has two full bathrooms, a kitchen, and two bedrooms. It'll be a bit of a drive to get wherever you're want to go but that's true everywhere in Los Angeles! As a local Angelino, this is exactly the kind of home I'd want any of my visitors from out of town to stay in.

Loved this place

Remote as we wanted to be. This home was a great location for a couples getaway. We used this location, with a car, to travel to CA to attend a football game at UCLA. We definitely would stay at the property again. Go Hoosiers!

Quiet and peaceful but close Cal Tech

The property is small but very well done and everything you need is there including a complimentary bottle of wine which was very nice. My wife and I were there for the week as our 17-year-old attended a tech camp at Cal Tech. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet and close to hiking options. I would highly recommend staying here.

Cozy home in a quiet neighborhood

My parents and I were in Altadena for a wedding and stayed at this lovely little home. The host left some goodies for us upon our arrival, which was much appreciated. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed.

Family visit !

Visited adult son in LA and along with adult daughter had a wonderful visit. Dinners in worked out well as it was an equipped kitchen. Outdoor grill also was nice to have. Great hiking nearby and overall was everything we wanted.

Older neighborhood, quiet

The property is showing its age, some exterior dry rot. There is a leak from some pipe under kitchen sink. Need upgraded hairdryer in master bath. But a quiet, pleasant neighborhood (other than a fire in carport across the street during the night with 5 fire trucks responding). Grocery stores and finer restaurants are some distance away. Surrounding hills/mountains are quite lovely.

Altadena condo

A great mid century condo with outdoor space. Fit 3 to 4 adults well. We used the BBQ and oven. All worked well. Only wish there was a string of outdoor lights on the patio so we could have eaten outside after sunset.
