It is a great location and the upstairs bedrooms are clean and comfortable. Our contacts were with the owner’s sister. She was eager to please. We left early because the house was not ready to rent in our opinion. If you choose to rent this house bring your own water for cooking and drinking. The kitchen is not set up for cooking. The oven ran extremely hot. One stove top burner was completely burned out, the others very dirty. Seating is uncomfortable either on wood chairs in the kitchen or the futon in the living room. Some of the kitchen cabinets don’t have doors and drawers don’t open. The main reason we left early was the strong mildew odor throughout the house. The odor was so strong that even airing out the house all day did not eliminate the odors.

We just returned from our trip. First the location was excellent. The property is very picturesque and really afford the visitor great places to walk and truly see the coast of Maine. The host did a really good job in communicating with us and was respectful of our privacy. Concerning the condition and the amenities of the property…This home is a two family, which is fine however there were many things missing that were really would’ve been nice to have. It seems like the host may not have a lot of experience in hosting. To be quite honest there was too many things to list and I don’t want to bash them. Just be cautious if you lease the space. You will need just about everything when you go. As I mentioned, the home is in a great location and you could tell it’s an old home that needed to be remodeled, which is understandable but much of the furniture was definitely inadequate, for example. The futon wasn’t really a futon and my son had a sleep half on a foot rest and a couch at different levels again I understand that people don’t have the resources to make it perfect and you can save some money by staying here, but regardless it still needs to be furnished properly and I’m just saying this so when other travelers go there, they know what to expect. we did have a great time and may do and I thank them for offer get to us.
