This property was absolutely wonderful! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the weather was perfect for keeping the windows open and listening to the waves. We really enjoyed all our walks on the beach, as well as the campfire we had under the moonlight.

Very cool property and beautiful location. We had a wonderful time! It was unseasonably hot the first two days we were there, and there is no a/c. The fans they had there just were not enough to cool the place down, however Michele was very quick to provide extra fans and extension cords for some relief from the heat. Other than that, we enjoyed our time together, and by the end of our trip the weather cooled off so we were able to have an awesome bonfire on the beach for the 4th of JulyIt made for some really great family memories!

Great place to relax and enjoy the water. Kitchen was very well stocked. Many chairs and beach towels provided. 2 grills were perfect, one for meats and one for corn on the cob. We had such a tremendous Memorial weekend! Thanks!

What an incredible place!! The views were spectacular, and the house was so unique. We enjoyed the walks on the beach with our dog, and the whole family enjoyed the games and pool table.

Had an amazing fall weekend, ended up being 80 out and made for a great trip. The home is clean and well taken care of and it is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The space is far more beautiful than the photos show and you won't regret booking it.

A wonderful experience overall. Beautiful & comfy house complete with all needed amenities. Still, all that was topped by its setting. Deck, lawn and beach were much more than we could have imagined. Family and our dogs had the best time!!!

We loved this property! The beach is absolutely incredible! It was very well appointed inside with everything we could possibly have needed. The upstairs was quite warm with no air conditioning, even with fans in and windows open, but the kids didn’t care. The adult that slept up there wasn’t happy but the rest of us felt very comfortable. I would absolutely go back!

Wonderful house right on the beach

We very much enjoyed our stay at this home for our family. The house was beautiful and spacious, and the location right on the beach made for a truly special experience. We loved having bonfires on the beach each night. (It was nice that the wood was provided)! It was especially nice to have such a well stocked kitchen. There is no AC but the fresh air through the screened windows made the house comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an absolutely fantastic vacation at On the Rocks! The house was beautiful, well-stocked, cozy, and filled with so many fun things to do. The kids especially enjoyed the pool table and spent many hours in the fun loft playing pool and other games.The beach and outdoor spaces were absolutely phenomenal! Smooth sand, clear water, and so many wonderful spaces to relax. Our entire family - littles, middle schoolers, teens, and adults - spent hours on the beach and in the water enjoying every bit of it! Michele was wonderful to work with and we appreciated the ease of communication. All in all, it was a memorable stay and we would definitely recommend this lovely home!

Beach and beach deck were lovely, with plenty of nice seating options.But the accommodations were frankly miserable.1. No AC. It was 82 deg and 90% humidity on the 1st fl. 2nd fl was worse. Opening doors & windows, and using the fans didn't help. It was so humid that everything was moist, towels stayed wet, and the toilet tanks were sweating with condensation and dripping on the floor. This made sleeping impossible. The mugginess made the bed & pillows smell like body odor from previous renters who also sweated in the bed. There is no security when the doors have to be left open for air. So you spend the night sweating, swatting mosquitoes, and worried about break-ins. No vent exhaust for the showers more moisture.2. Roof leaks when it rains, which caused water to drip from the ceiling and puddle on the floor. This makes you also notice the extensive amount of water damage throughout the home on the ceilings and walls.3. Careful if you get up to use the toilet in the night. The sunken tub is only 2 ft away, I would be worried about small kids and elderly falling in.4. No privacy. Wall of windows in the bathroom. Anyone walking around to the outdoor shower will see you inside that bathroom. Neighbors too through trees.I'm sure the house was charming in the '70s. But our main issue is that without AC it should NOT cost 1280/night.We're disappointed that we paid such a high price to feel like we were camping in the Everglades.

It's a beautiful house with incredible views of the lake. The fireplace is wonderful. We had a stange start to our visit which was resolved with the help of several people and the owner made up for the early challenges in spades. Life happens and we work to reframe challenges as adventures. The owner said we could walk the beach for miles and that's no joke. We were able to bring our dogs on this trip. It was their first trip and they did great. They were even interested in the strange water stuff that kept waving into shore. The only downside was that the incredible windows and views meant that the house was quite chilly even with a fire going. We had such a warm fall and the weather shifted right before Thanksgiving. I beleive they are closing the place up for the winter. Bring extra clothing layers in the spring and fall for a cooler house (there were plenty of blankes on the bed) and those chilly lake breezes.
