Everything was just as advertised, plus some nice touches. Outdoor garden area was unique and enjoyable. Kitchen had everything you could want. Dishes, glasses, cups, everything was well stocked and available.

The host left a welcome gift that was much appreciated after a long drive coming to a family wedding. They even left a note with suggestions since we were staying on Halloween whether we wanted trick-or-treating or not a very welcoming place to stay. We strongly recommend.!!!

Very roomy home. Main floor master with an en suite was perfect for us. Our son and girlfriend had the upstairs to themselves. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great access to Topeka and Lawrence areas.

Fantastic Place

My family chooses short term Vrbo style rentals when we travel, and this was the best one that we've stayed at to date. The weather was terrible so we didn't get to enjoy the backyard, but everything else was very nice. Lots of room. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Plenty of towels. And, the check-out asks were reasonable. The place is in a nice neighborhood with easy access to everything we wanted to do in Lawrence. Will look to see if this place is available 1st before looking elsewhere if we are ever in need of a place in Lawrence again. Very very pleased with this place.

Great place

Great house in a quiet neighborhood, pet friendly with a great fully fenced backyard. There is a Koi pond that my dog stared at for 24 straight hours instead of being anxious about being away from home. Fast reliable internet. Plenty of towels, plenty of comfortable beds. Neighbors were super friendly. It’s my first time in Lawrence and it’s a great town. People are so helpful and nice. Mass street for a meal was great and less than 10 minutes away . Pool table in basement kept my 12 year old boy occupied without his fortnight . We meet in KS yearly because it’s exactly 1/2 way between my sister and me, and I will definitely stay here again if it’s available

A Safe, Roomy & Conveniently Located Grandma Home

This rental is a sizeable home located in a nice neighborhood. It was a short drive to get to restaurants, shopping and the university. The back yard is large and fenced with plantings and places to sit. It is a great play space for children and setting for pictures. I prepared a meal for a dozen people and found the kitchen equipped with the basics but lacking. For example, I could have used kitchen shears and straight blade vegetable peeler as well as serving tongs. (I brought my own large pots.) The coffee hospitality was notable and appreciated--well stocked and nothing lacking there. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable but the bedding was not as crisp and fresh as a hotel. It felt as vintage as the house. Plumbing system or mechanical sounds were noticeable. We did not use the basement space, but we noted that it was more modern than the main space and had newer furniture including recliners. Though the place needs some love and maintenance and could use a facelift, at the right price, I would not hesitate to book this home again.
