Not a studio
This is not a studio, it is a shared house. The host told me he would send someone out to show me to the studio, I waited, nobody arrived so I asked somebody who was mowing the property’s lawn if he knew who I could go to in order to get into the property. The man did not speak English, and luckily I was with somebody who knew some Spanish so we could communicate. If my guest was not there, I would not have known what to do, and the host did not know if I spoke Spanish or not. The man then walked me to another property (NOT the same address that was given to me on VRBO). He took me around the side of the house, walking past the actual house entrance (labeled in the picture below). When we asked him about the code, he took a moment, said “uhh” and then remembered. I immediately felt unsafe in the neighborhood, in the shared house, and now, unsafe that another man, not the host, knew the door code. How many people know this code, and why was it not changed?I am not familiar with the Miami area and I feel that we were taken advantage of because of that. While the inside pictures were the same, the advertisement of the address and the type of residence was not accurate. I was genuinely scared of staying there and believe it should be known to others that the property is falsely advertised, making it seem like this was a true studio when it was not.
