Bike Ride!

Arrived about 10:30. Drove to the bike path and rode 30 miles round trip! Great trail, great place to stop in Carlton for lunch. Checked into the apartment. Showered and headed to Duluth for a craft cocktail, ended at the Legion across the street from us. Ordered Chinese and crashed! Perfect, safe location! We had the best time!

Nice Place

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay there. The host was very friendly and responsive.I took off a star for accuracy of listing because it did not mention that it was an upstairs apartment. It is not handicapped accessible.I took off a star for check in process because the building did not have An easily visible address. We must have circled it a few times before getting out and look around for the address.But that did not stop us from enjoying the place!! Worth the stay!!

Space was beautifully renovated! Unfortunately listing didn't mention second floor, no elevator, with 21 nearly vertical stairs. Sorry, but property fronts on to a very busy street near a city bus stop. Loud all night long. Easy to drive anywhere in Duluth, but not much within a 1 mile walk. Bike path nearby. Wish I had more good to say because it was so nicely renovated and looked just like the pictures.

There is a very steep narrow staircase that was not disclosed in the listing. As an over 75 year old couple this was incredibly difficult. We did reach out to the hosts regarding stairs about 3 hours prior to arrival as we started looking at reviews and saw several complaints about stairs. Sadly we didn’t get a response until we were checked in. Had we known about this issue we’d have booked elsewhere.

The place was clean and well kept, but the stairs up to the entry are very steep. We are on the other side of young so that was a bit of a challenge. The kitchen is sparsely stocked with dishes if one wanted to cook a full meal. The windows look directly onto a busy and noisy street. Overall it was ok for our needs for one night but we would not care to stay for an extended time.

This studio apartment was the perfect stay for me for just under a weeks worth of time. I was staying here while in between places while moving and it was a relaxing, cozy and beautiful A/C filled space which kept me very happy. I did have guests staying next door some nights with crying babies and kids making noise in the morning, but you cannot control that, and that was not the properties fault, people with babies gotta take vacations too... ya know? Anyway, this space was lovely and the complementary popcorn was so delicious and the bed was so comfy. Thank you for an amazing and very needed relaxing stay Heirloom Vacation Rentals!
