This apartment is unique because it sits above a historic hotel in downtown Mineral Point. The first floor houses a lovely coffeehouse called Cafe 43, where you can buy delicious coffee and tea drinks, and all kinds of breakfast and lunch meals. After ascending the stairs, you will enter your apartment which is quite spacious, with a bedroom, living room and kitchen area, and a well-appointed bathroom. There are a few quirks, like a floor that slopes a bit, not surprising given the age of the building. The shower and bed were great and the kitchen had most things needed to cook and eat simple meals. The host was especially responsive. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the steep stairway — not good for anyone with mobility issues — and sounds from the apartments above and next door, especially dogs barking. But if you want to be in the middle of everything — shops, restaurants, nightlife, even a public library next door — this is the place for you.
Adorable little apartment in downtown Mineral Point, just right for two people. Good layout, comfortable bed, good lighting, nice living area and kitchen. We enjoyed the vintage touches and the wood floors. There's a flight of stairs leading to the place, in case you have problems with this, but it didn't bother us. Great cafe on the ground floor for breakfast and lunch. The owner was very gracious and communicative; he brought me a hairdryer immediately when I noticed that it was missing.
