Beachfront Bungalow w/ BEST Location in Ocean View!

This small beach house features an incredible location directly on the Chesapeake Bay with a small yard and porch on both sides of the house. It has new carpet, new toilet, new stove, WiFi, 2 Smart TVs, central air, brand new memory foam mattresses, all linens and kitchen essentials provided. Kayaks and beach equipment rentals available, message host for details!
Each of the 2 bedrooms has a queen bed and there is an extra foldout twin bed provided with bedding upon request. Location is walking distance from Ocean View Fishing Pier, close to many stores and dining, and a short drive from Virginia Beach, downtown Norfolk, Hampton, ODU, CNU, and naval bases. A charcoal grill and 2 beach chairs are provided. Check pictures for list of beach equipment rentals. No parties or events allowed, all guests must be declared on reservation. Larger groups may be allowed with prior authorization. There is a covered car port and free extra parking for up to 3 vehicles.

Incredible location to walk out onto the beach and very responsive host. Strong nicotine smoke smell indoors (carpet, bedding, drapes, etc)… we bought Lysol and tried to air out but it was too strong. Loved the coffee provided for us but we were bummed that no cookie sheets fit the oven since we bought food to cook. No light in the dining room made meals a little dark. And no hand soap in the entire house so we bought some and left in the bathroom for the next guests. This beach bungalow has a lot of potential but needs a lot of TLC.

The wrong address was given out. It was hard to find for that reason, but the host gave a picture of where to park and where to enter. It was right on the beach and next to the fishing pier. The carpet and couch were very old and stained. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. The only good thing was the location

Cutest little bungalow literally on the beach! We only had one night to sneak away and have a night with the kiddos, and this was the perfect spot!

only positive with this house built in 1920’s and furnished at Goodwill is the beach but you must walk by the broke furniture , rusted and broke fire pit and hope the window units work bc the breakers trip and spark when over loaded . This home needs to be taken off VRBO platform .. dangerous and vacationer beware . Dump !! slum host

Right on the beach. Comfortable bed. Very tight bathroom and difficult to shower. No shampoo/hair dryer. Please consider lowering TV, adding extra pillows and blankets, and dish drying mat or rack.

The location is right on the beach, the host provided an extra twin bed when asked. The house is old, so be prepared for that. The welcome guide says it is 100 years old. You also park in a parking lot that is a bit hidden and out of the way, the instructions to get there were very clear, but ordering GrubHub had me walking to the street to find the delivery driver. With that being said, you can tell the house has been updated. I don’t think the shower curtain was clean, which was a bit of a challenge since it was a clawfoot tub and the shower curtain went all the way around. Aside from that everything else felt clean and nice.

Overall it was a great value. It was clean. Right on the beach. If you looking for luxurious accommodations find somewhere else. The fishing pier was practically in the back yard. Downside was internet was out for a while and the bathroom was small and the picnic table was broken. It rained and there was a leak in the bathroom that dripped on you if you were sitting on the toilet. Reported to the manager and he said they were waiting on a new roof. He was polite apologetic and responsive. Again for the price I would gladly stay here again.

Cute little bungalow on the beach. Beautiful sunrises. Location is great. Very clean. Has everything you need!!! The pier is a 2 min walk.

This place was a great stay for my friends and I, right on the beach and a very quiet area. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. George was very responsive with any questions we had. Will be back!

nice property for a couple a old guys wantin to fish and have some beers. it's a little rough around the edges (the bathroom is small and needs a reno) but it's right on the water. the fishing pier is super close. the bar/restaurant on said fishing pier are the spot to chill. we had an excellent time.

This is like stepping back in time...30 years!

Check in was great after i got the right cottage (4 on the property.)very quaint, very sparce o. The amenities... extra trash can & maybe a table lamp in the living room. 1 brite overhead light! The view and location and convienience certainley make up for other short commings. My daughter , grand daughter & I had a wonderful visit

We arrived after a 9 hour drive to the host provided street address. It was the wrong address. It was a residential address. The resident owners said this happens all the time. We tried contacting the host. He did not respond.While waiting for host to respond we went to different homes on the street to try to find correct home with no luck.We contacted VRBO customer service. They put us on hold trying to contact the host. They could not get in touch with him. After being on hold for quite awhile VRBO customer service finally found the correct address. It was listed wrong on our communication from the just but VRBO had correct on file. This whole process took almost two hours We were parked on the side of the street the entire time unsure where we were going to stay.The host finally answered our communication 4 hours later. No apology for taking 4 hours. No apology for the incorrect address. No apology for the inconvenience after a 9 hour drive. We were we would have done if VRBI customer service didn't have the right address. And it was aggravating because this is not the first time the host gave the wrong address. The residents at the wrong address said "This happens all the time."The parking was a bit scary. It is in a crowded marina lot. Not driveway parking. The actual house was okay. Bathroom had a damaged ceiling covered in plastic tarp. The beach being out the back door was wonderful. It is the highlight of this home.

The air conditioning in the house did not work. The house was 80 degrees inside. The host would not return our messages or Vrbo's messages regarding the air. The outdoor furniture is a Tetanus shot waiting to happen. The picnic table and chairs have nails and screws protruding everywhere. The locks on the doors do not work properly and the locks on the widows do not work at all. The bathroom fixtures and faucets are held together with zip ties (this might be the reason why there are no photos of the bathroom). I am not sure which is more uncomfortable: sleeping in 80-degree heat or staying in a house that has to address bodily fluids on their checkout list. This was a horrible experience! It has been a week since we left the property and we still have had no response from the host.

The outside temperature was 73 degrees when this guest was complaining of AC issues at 10 PM and house was cool when I arrived. All doors and locks are 100% functional. Guest was determined to stay for free.
