About Kelly Pearson

Kelly and Eric love Blue Ridge and always wanted to have a rental property to share the fun and adventure with others. We take great pride in providing a safe and comfortable experience for our guests and want to ensure they have a memorable experience in Blue Ridge.

Kelly Pearson purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Kelly Pearson chose Northwest High Country

An easy drive from Atlanta, but truly a world away! We loved the proximity to the Atlanta area and the easy drive up I-575. The combination of the privacy and river views, yet close proximity to downtown Blue Ridge, were just too much to turn down! We loved it the moment we saw it!

What makes this cabin unique

Prime footage on the Toccoa River. Not only is it beautiful, if you're a fisherman you will be amazed at the number and size of the Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout in this part of the river.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Great cottage and location

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect sized cottage for a two person weekend getaway. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen, building a fire by the river, and relaxing in the hot tub. This place is minutes away from several great blue ridge restaurants as well as hiking destinations. The owners were great to work with.

Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at Toccoa River Cottage 9/3/17-9/10/17. Absolutely a fantastic

place to stay. The cottage is very up to date and stocked with everything you might need.

Great location with easy access to the river. We hated to leave but will certainly be back!.

Already looking forward to the next trip. Would highly recommend renting Toccoa River

Cottage. Kelly was very easy to work with and checked on us to make sure everything was

going well.

Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow Trout

  • 5 of 5

Despite Hurricane Harvey trying to sidetrack a much needed getaway for my wife and I, the cottage provided a great escape. This location feels remote and private despite being within minutes of downtown Blue Ridge and the highway allowing you to get anywhere you want to go. River access is great and the river is beautiful and full of trout. We enjoyed and the fire pit as well as the hot tub. Not even a hurricane could stop us from enjoying all the cottage has to offer. And both Ohio State and Auburn won their opening games which we watched on the big screen TV while the rain fell.

Surround yourself with beauty, relaxation and natural fun in Georgia’s Blue Ridge, only 90 miles north of Atlanta via I-575 and Hwy 515, but a million miles away from the traffic, stress and anxiety of the city. With 106,000 acres located in the Chattahoochee National Forest, Blue Ridge is definitely the cure for whatever ails you.

Fannin County is the Fly Fishing capital of Georgia. There are excellent fishing streams and rivers including the Toccoa River. The depth of the river varies but is approximately 3-4 ft deep in front of the cottage. You can fish directly from the banks, in a float tube, or with waiters in sections around the cottage. Catch and Release is required along this river section and single barbless hooks minimize risk to the fish.

The Cottage is one mile north of the Blue Ridge Dam, and the dam releases once or twice a day. You can find the release times on the following website http://www.tva.gov/lakes/brh_r.htm. During the dam releases, the river rises and moves more quickly.

Downtown Blue Ridge offers several great restaurants, shops, and activities. Blue Ridge Brewery is a local favorite and offers local musicians on Friday and Saturday nights. Hucks Country Store is a must visit place especially for kids with lots of toys, puzzles, and old-time candy favorites to choose from.
