  • We love this lake home.

"This is our second stay at this lake front home. It has plenty of room for our grown children to spread out and be together. We love the fire pit area and the hot tub is a crowd favorite. Cooking in the kitchen is wonderful because there are so many pots and pans, a good size fridge and plenty of room to move around. We weren't able to use the boat this trip due to shallow waters, but have enjoyed it during a past visit and hope to again next time. There were some minor maintenance issues while there, but the owners were quick to respond and it didn't really have much of an impact on our trip. The owners are also kind enough to provide trash bags and soaps, starter paper towels. That's a convenience you won't always find. The furry members of the family were happy to tag along with us as well. They enjoyed running and playing outside and visiting the sites. It's a blessing to have such a nice family retreat and not have to compromise on the comforts of home. We wish we had booked a little longer stay. We're looking forward to returning again in the future."

  • Cute Cabin

"Running Bear Cabin was a great place for us AT hikers. The cabin was clean and better equipped than many places we have stayed. The kitchen had most everything we needed to cook our meals and there were plenty of towels and hot water. The cabin is small but it was perfect for the two of us. The bear theme was cute but not cutesy. The setting on the river was pleasant and we were able to easily drive to many AT trail heads. We brought all our food but if you needed supplies or a restaurant, it would be a drive."

  • Short Weekend

"This is a beautiful house and had everything we needed. The basement was like a little apartment in the house with a bed and bath. We didn't get to take advantage of it since we only had 3 people to go. The view was awesome. I loved sitting in the screened in area. Took a nap in there one day, very relaxing. It was nice to just sit out on the deck. We liked the showers with the extra sprayers in the middle. Thanks for letting us use your little piece of heaven."

  • Fall Getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains

"My wife and I were looking for a relaxing place to enjoy the fall foliage and Cricket Creek cabin was the perfect place for it. The cabin is immaculate and beautifully decorated. It has comfortable beds and every convenience you need for a romantic getaway. The fireplace is easy to use and makes the cabin cozy at night. We enjoyed quiet walks on the path that runs through the property. There many beautiful drives and hikes a short distance from the cabin. I recommend Cricket Creek cabin for a romantic getaway."
