We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of space for our two families. The new charcoal grill was a great addition, and we loved being right on the water, it made for a relaxing and beautiful getaway. Our only wish was that more of the windows could be opened to let in the lake breeze. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely love to stay here again!

Our stay was filled with so many great family memories. From having big family brunches. To me being able to teach my son, nephew, and his girlfriend how to make homemade cinnamon and caramel nut rolls for our three families in the kitchen one afternoon. Being able to get into the lake and walk out on the sand bar right out the back door was so great. No loading anyone into cars wet or having to change in a public bathroom was so amazing. The Lake house had the perfect number of rooms and beds for our three families to be able to have a nice trip together. This may turn into an annual vacation trip for use all.

This property was just as it was billed, it felt like a cabin up north on a lake inside. The rooms were nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed.The only negative was the outside could use a little TLC and not being able to open any windows was difficult with the amazing weather we were experiencing, it would have been great to sleep to the sound of the lake.

Had such a great vacation at the Lake House

We really felt so at home throughout our entire stay. Loved swimming, fishing, and brought our own jet skis to enjoy. The property has so many things to do. Puzzles, movies, so many games, bikes, fishing poles, swim floaties, balls and the piano was so much fun. I hope we can come stay again one day!

Great Escape

This was our second time enjoying this place and its amazing location... If you're looking to unwind and just forget about everything else but the amazing views that surround you, this is the place.... Food and gas within 1 mile from this location... it was perfect but as always too short....

Great Lake Experience

We had a great time! Lots of amenities provided including ample towels and household supplies. Great experience for little kids and searching out frogs. Dock is a little rickety and I wish there was a ladder off of it to make swimming easier. But overall a great house to get away from it all!

2nd Time Still Perfect!

This was our second time staying at the Lakehouse and it was just as great as it was 2 years ago. We had a nice basket of goodies and a bottle of wine waiting on us when we got there courtesy of the hosts. And Sophie was wonderful at communicating and checking on us to make sure everything was going well. This is one of our favorite places to stay when we visit Appleton and we will definitely be back!

Just what we needed

My husband and our five kids loved our time at the farmhouse. The sunsets and sunrises, the fantastic fire pit and dock, and the well stocked kitchen truly made this a home away from home. Close driving proximity for grocery runs and great hiking trails. Thank you, Sophie and Ben for sharing your home with us. Just glorious.

Great family home on beautiful lake

Great home with all the little extras. Lots of games and books. Kitchen was fully loaded with quality appliances. Nice washer and dryer. Grill and fire pit were good to have. Plenty of towels for bath and the lake. Loved the location. Close to everything!! Hope to return next year.

Wedding weekend stay

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Lake House. My son was getting married at the Waverly Beach Bar & Grill and this house is within a mile of the venue. We loved how close the home was to the water, so on down time, we could watch the calming waves. The beds were great and all was so clean upon check-in. The hosts welcomed us with a gift basket complete with a meal and S'more making supplies. Although we didn't get the chance to use, there is a nice peddle boat, canoe, fire pit and bicycles. A great stay for our family. Highly recommend.

COMFORTABLE

Home was very comfortable, 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, beds were fine, large kitchen and living room. Outside had nice sized deck, a large yard, a nice big firepit and plenty of wood. The swimming was nice with shallow water and a sand bottom. The only negative was that the windows did not open to outside air.

I grew up in the Fox Cities on the water however have been residing in Boulder, CO since 1984. I purchased the home in 2004 as a second home. My girlfriend and I still have family there however with older children and their busy schedules we are not able to enjoy the property as much as we would like. I renovated the home myself when purchased and have a lot of blood, sweat and tears that have been put into the property. With new wood flooring throughout, drywall, paint and new kitchen I made it my own. It was professionally decorated to give it a cozy, charming lake house feel with elegance and warmth. We hope you enjoy the home as much as we do.

The lake is 30 miles by 10 miles and channels into many other lakes and rivers offering a large variety of recreational activities and dining experiences. The home is close to Appleton night life, 30 miles from Lambeau Field as well as 30 miles from Oshkosh offering EAA, Country USA and outlet shopping. The home is 90 miles from Milwaukee Brewers, 3 hours from Chicago.
