Located just 3 minutes off of Highway 41, we're the only remaining farmhouse and barn in a newer residential neighborhood on the Northwest side of Appleton. Enjoy safe walking/biking/running through quiet neighborhood while also being just 1 minute from a grocery store, bars and restaurants, and 5 minutes from the Fox River Mall area.

Had a great stay! We loved the house and the feeling it had. I kind of wished we had known about the construction currently happening on the only road the house is accessible from but it wasn't too much of a detriment.

This is a beautiful property that is great for families and friends looking to spend time together. The house is beautiful with plenty of seating. The beds are super comfortable! This place was amazing. The pictures do not lie. There was room for everyone to have their own space and the barn provided a large gathering rec type space for everyone to come together for games and just a good time to be together. This felt like we were in the country but was very close and convenient to everything needed on College Avenue. THE COMMUNICATION WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY FAST IF NOT IMMEDIATE AS WE APPROACHED OUR CHECK-IN DAY OR WHEN WE HAD QUESTIONS. We would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to EVERYONE we know.

What a perfectly amazing property! It is everything advertised and more. We had a small, private gathering of family for my mother’s memorial. Six adults and two toddlers stayed from out of town and were very comfortable. The farmhouse decor is quaint yet contemporary. The kitchen is well appointed with modern appliances and finishes. The two full bathrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs) had plenty of towels available. There was some debate about the exhaust fan in the downstairs bathroom. It is very loud but some of us felt it added privacy because it is just off the kitchen area. Beds were great. The option of the downstairs bedroom next to the bathroom is very helpful if you have anyone with mobility issues. The spacious barn was the ideal location for my mother’s memorial. The hosts were able to “showcase” the antiquity of the barn yet provide all the modern conveniences! The old beams and floors are beautiful. The kitchenette and Weber grill made serving lunch a breeze. There was plenty of room for the kids to run and the huge 70”tv was a big hit for them to play their video games on. The freestanding firepit is a wonderful option. At first glance it seems small but it really worked well. It is set up on a large concrete slab which provides plenty of room for seating. There was ample parking.The location is very convenient. It has a very rural feeling yet there is a Costco, grocery store, and a myriad of restaurants, all within 5 miles. Great hosts and easy access!

Back Again

This our second stay at the Farmstead. We have a family after Christmas and New Year gathering. The Farmstead makes a great place for us to do so. The house has a nice kitchen with a table, which also serves as a game and card playing table. The bedrooms easily accommodate our needs. The hit is the barn which serves as the main "playing" place. The check-in and check-out process is simple and easy. There were no issues or problems but if there were, help is just a phone call away. It was a great place and stay.

Family reunion

Beautiful old farm house but poorly maintained on the outside. Simple things like sweeping off the porch and removing debris and dirt from entrances, brushing off outside cushions would certainly be a beginning. Carpet is pretty nasty! Basic spices would be nice and there were not enough dishes, glasses and silverware. Not enough chairs for six people to eat together. This seems strange since it accommodates up to ten people.

We are sorry to hear about some of the troubles you had during your stay, and do wish you would have send us a message so we could help address these items during your stay. Looking back at our correspondence, we did send a message the day after check-in asking if there was ANYTHING you needed, and you asked for more coffee (one of the amenities we provide). We brought more over. At no point did you mention the missing silverware/cups/plates/etc. With the barn being another gathering space, sometimes things migrate over to the cupborads there, which we could have told you, or we could have had additional serviceware delivered if you needed it. As for the deck, we do apologize. With 150 year old trees throughout our yard, they do tend to drop a lot daily, and we do our best to keep it clean, and would have happily came over to help with this again. We hope you'll stay with us in the future, and wish you the best. -Mark and team

This place was absolutely fantastic! It was perfect to be able to go out and do things during the day and have a home base to come back it. We were able to have a BBQ, sit around the fire, and loved getting to play the games provided. Having the barn separate from the house was perfect. As it got later kids, and even adults who were tired, were able to go to the house and go to bed while those wanting to stay up could do so without worrying about disturbing them. Highly recommend it doing things with a large group or family. My only feedback, while beautiful there are some angles of the house that we're not the nicest for tall folk. It almost turned it on a game of how many times my partner would hit his head getting on and out of bed. Additionally, it is a older peoperty which comes with some charm, one of those things is outlets are not always in the most convenient places. I'd suggest packing an extension cord if your worried about that being a problem. Lastly, I don't know if it wasn't really clear or if I missed it, but the room with a bunch of beds (perfect for kids) is connected to the room with the largest bed. The only thing separating the two rooms is a curtain, so privacy was not really there. While not ideal, it worked out fine for our group as the couple with the kid just took that room. I could see the being awkward though if traveling with a friend group or family that is not as comfortable together as we are. Small things to be aware of, overall it's great
