Welcome to our newly purchased and remodeled “Cabin in the Pines”, ridge cabin 21. This lovely home is nestled within the towering majestic Ponderosa pines of Black Butte Ranch on a quiet cul-de-sac of Ridge Cabins. Within footsteps to Aspen Lake; South Meadow Pool and tennis courts and only a short bike ride to the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center. Our 3 bedroom, two story home has an inviting entry with all new wood flooring in the kitchen, living room and entry. The cabin has vaulted ceilings with an open floor plan between the kitchen/dining room and living room that allows for easy visiting/celebration with family and friends. The kitchen has all new alder wood cabinets, new stainless steel appliances, stone counters, and an island for abundant counter space. The dining table can expand and easily accommodate a party of six. The kitchen has a pantry and is fully furnished with all the amenities including, pots and pans, cutlery, serving dishes, and spices. All that a chef would need to put together a wonderful family meal. The living room décor is enhanced by its unique cabin theme of pine furniture built by a local craftsman’s along with the original Black Butte Ranch wrought iron lamps/accessories; and a massive lava rock fireplace. For your entertainment pleasure, there are two flat screen TV’s, one in the living room and one in the master suite. Free Wi-Fi cable is a courtesy; I phone/I pad docking station and a library of DVD’s and books for your reading pleasure. There is no land line so please bring your cell phone or just enjoy the peace and quiet.

There are three bedrooms with new Berber carpeting; new window treatments, upscale furniture and new mattress’s with quality linens. On the main floor is Bedroom one, which has a Queen bed, beautiful Cherry furniture with wrought iron details; Bedroom two has twin beds and is tastefully decorated with a “cowboy or cowgirl” theme. There is also a smaller bistro table for two with swivel chairs for a more intimate setting. Four lounge chairs; a loveseat glider and a new gas grill. Everything you need to soak in the sunny Central Oregon weather; read a book or just relax and take in the wonderful mountain scenery along with the soothing rustling sounds and smell of the of the Ponderosa pines.

Our family has been coming to Black Butte Ranch for 35yrs. Black Butte Ranch provided a safe and fun environment for our children to grow and a haven for us adults to unwind from the hectic world, take a deep breath, relax and rejuvenate in one place. Now our adult children bring their children, our grandchildren to make their own family memories. We take pride in our “Cabin in the Pines” and are proud to offer our cabin for your vacation retreat. Our goal is to have families return again and again, as we did, to experience all that Black Butte Ranch has to offer and start making memories for your own family. Thank you for considering our home for your vacation retreat.

BLACK BUTTE RANCH

Location: 10miles west of Sisters, Oregon 3hrs SE of Portland, Oregon

For our guest outside of Oregon, located 30mi away, is a regional airport, “Roberts Field”. Commercial service is provided by Alaska Air, United, United express and Delta Connection provided by SkyWest Airlines.

Black Butte Ranch is one of Oregon’s premiere oldest and most desirable gated resorts. Its setting is on a sprawling 1800 acres in Central Oregon framed by the Oregon Cascades which provide breathtaking views and is surrounded on two sides by US forest lands. Within you will find a plethora of family friendly activities. It can boast of having two championship 18 hole golf courses; 4 outdoor and one year-round indoor pool; 23 paved tennis courts; 18 miles of well maintained paved biking/walking trails; and guided horseback riding. There is a beautiful Lodge that overlooks Phalarope Lake with a panoramic view of the Three Sister’s mountains and Mt Washington.

There are several recreation centers within Black Butte Ranch. The newest is at Glaze Meadow Recreation Complex, centrally located within the ranch. It has a year-round indoor pool and a outdoor pool; toddler pool; spay ground; large outside hot tub; fitness center; Wireless internet; sports shop; full service Spa; steam room; seasonal bike shop/rental; snowshoe and XC ski rentals. Adjacent to this facility are lighted tennis courts; a playground with boulders for climbing; playground structures and even a circuit for beginning bikers. During the summer months there is a snack/espresso shop, for you after your morning jog or the “pick me up” needed to keep up with your busy children. The other Recreation Center or “Rec Barn” as it is referred to, is by the Lodge where you can rent a multitude of equipment including kayaks; stand up paddle boarding or canoes; fly fishing equipment for catch and release on Phalarope Lake by the Lodge. There is also rental of all kinds of bikes; mountain bikes; 2 wheel; 3 wheel or take the whole family with a surrey ride. No need to pile all that equipment on your car. Within the Rec Barn are games, ping pong, air hockey, planned kids camps, rock climbing and even “parent’s night out” amongst other various activities. There is also a new Sports Field that offers a full-court basketball court; two pickle ball courts; two bocce ball courts; a sanded volleyball court and two horseshoe pits. Free equipment for these activities is available for check out.

For winter sports there is downhill skiing and cross country skiing 20 minutes away at HooDoo Ski Resort or one hour away at Mt Bachelor Ski Resort and snowmobile parks are an easy drive away. Or, you can stay at Black Butte Ranch and cross country ski/snow shoe on our bike pathways in the winter. The Recreation Department here at Black Butte Ranch is a wonderful resource to help you with not only planning your activities at the resort but also activities in the outlaying areas such as rock climbing; white water rafting; hiking, climbing, fly-fishing on the headwaters of the famous Metolius River to name a few. See the Black Butte Ranch website/recreation for details and call ahead to plan your activities while at the Ranch.

There are a number of dining options at the Ranch as well, including fine dining at the beautiful Lodge with stunning views; or upstairs in the Aspen Lounge. Downstairs in the Lodge lobby is a Espresso and gift shop. Robert’s Pub is another option, it overlooks Big Meadow Golf course for fine dining or pizza to go for the children.

For shopping, the small town of Sisters is just 10 miles east. It’s a charming small town with a western theme. It is well known nationally for its famous Outdoor Quilt Show in July; the Sisters Rodeo; Jazz and Folk Festivals. It has a multitude of small shops including craft stores, antiques shops; bakeries; deli’s; eateries; groceries; pubs; pharmacy and various other shops and even a movie theater. A fun town to spend an afternoon in.

Black Butte Ranch has its very own full time Police/Security; EMT’s and Fire Dept to keep Black Butte Ranch a safe place to be. Thus you can see why we call it our home away from home.

Wonderful Fall stay in Black Butte

  • 5 of 5

This is truly a beautiful & cozy vacation cabin. The home is super clean and has been remodeled with high quality finishes, bedding, supplies and furniture. It is very well stocked with anything you would need for your get-a-way. The attention to detail, organization and use of space is evident throughout the entire home. There is a large spacious deck with lots of furniture that we couldn’t use due to the weather, but would be awesome for the summer. What makes this home unique are the little details that really make you feel welcome: wine & popcorn welcome basket, Keurig coffee machine and starter coffee selection, wood ready for the fireplace, sleep number bed in the master bedroom & several bathroom amenities. We loved that things are well labeled to make items easy to find and put away! The owners were easy to work with and very responsive to questions. We would highly recommend this home.

The Cabin in the Pines is perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is perfect! Very tastefully updated and impeccably clean! We always enjoy our stay! The hill just out the front door is perfect for sledding and our kids spend tons of time sledding, laughing, and playing.

The house is furnished nicely with super comfortable beds. We love our yearly visit!

Cabin in the Pines

  • 4 of 5

The property was clean and comfortable, exactly as advertised. The appliances were newer and functioned well. Thank goodness for the air conditioning, we arrived during a mini heat wave. The welcome basket was a nice surprise. The deck was nice and the BBQ was great. My only negative comment is that the neighbor spent two days cutting tile in their front yard with a tile saw and made enough racket that we couldn't use the deck. Other than that, we were pleased.

Very clean, very pleasant and well equiped home.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our week long stay at this home. It was very clean, pleasantly decorated, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals. We loved sitting on the deck for reading or visiting with friends when they came for dinner. The furniture both inside and out was in excellent condition and very comfortable. I would stay here again and would recommend it for small groups of 3-5 people. It was very nice.

Well stocked and impeccable!

  • 4 of 5

We have enjoyed Black Butte Ranch for almost ten summers now and have stayed in all kinds of rentals. This one is by far the most well stocked with everything you need and more in the kitchen, ample towels in the bathrooms and games, dvd's, etc in the family room. It is small but the ample deck with lots of furniture expands the size. It's location allows easy access to both ends of the ranch including a less busy pool and tennis courts a 3 minute bike ride away. My only comment is the lack of a couch in the family room. The mission style furniture is very nice but not very cozy for early morning reading or family tv watching.
