The check in was great and she was great! The old man at the front desk was asleep in the chair. There was hair on the dishes. So each dish I had to look at. Long black hair in the bathtub. And where the toilet paper holder was dusty. You know the old school toilet paper metal silver in the wall holder was dusty, really dusty. They have a resort fee, for what? Small pool and jacuzzi. It wasn’t a resort at all. We travel a lot and it’s agreed that there should be a fee due to nice grounds. But not this place. Old! The staff were all nice even the nice lady who gave us towels, house keeper. I never ask for a room clean up ever. Just towels etc. I always leave the room clean after we leave. Towels in the shower / bath etc., trash where it’s suppose to be. Not a mess at all when we leave. I am just disappointed on the outcome of NOT giving me a refund for the extra days that I have booked. We never made it to the beach.We had 2 nice dinners within walking distance and we shopped at that nice antique boutique. I booked through VRBO for my birthday 23-26. And added 26-28 via hotels.com. I am super upset they wouldn’t honor my refund We left for 2 reason. My foot was swollen I showed her and we went to the ER. Plus I had to leave due to an emergency situation. I asked the police to look AGAIN on the beach in the night for my husband as I looked in the dark myself. I packed up our stuff and was going to join the nice officer to help look at the beach. I was crying! And scared!
