Your Highlands vacation begins at this darling 3-bedroom cabin, "Orchard View." With 3 en suite bedrooms (2 kings, 1 queen), this cozy retreat offers a private mountain escape with breathtaking views and lots of wilderness. This renovated cabin sits on 5 private acres, so you'll enjoy modern amenities and fine bedding while perched on the edge of the Nantahala national forest. We are only 3 miles from Highlands' Main Street (less than a 10-minute drive), and you'll have a balance of seclusion and easy access to everything the area offers: fine dining, shopping, performing arts, fishing, golf, tennis, waterfalls and hiking galore. We vacation with our family in the cabin as often as possible and it's equipped for both long or short stays. We're sure you'll love it as much as we do.

You could say I found my passion. :) While I'm not new to hosting, I'm new to VRBO and I hope you'll stay with us. I've been visiting the Highlands area as often as possible with my family for the past decade. We love it! and hope to call it "home" one day soon.

The cabin is in a small development that remains largely un-built so there is always lots of privacy and quiet, yet you're just a quick drive (3 miles) from the center of everything Highlands offers.

I come to Highlands first and foremost to unplug and enjoy nature - it's a great way to get back in touch with what's most important in life. The cabin is beautifully built to enjoy a cozy, woodsy feeling as well as the spectacular long-range view of Blue Valley. You can see lots of nature (dear, bear, owls, etc.) while just sitting on the deck, or quickly be at a wonderful hike/waterfall. The cabin is not the best choice for those who need to be highly connected, but rather a perfect fit for (mostly) unplugging and unwinding.
