About Jim Gulley

Georgetown holds a special place in our hearts for many reasons -- Amazing people, incredible memories, beautiful summers and winters and just lots of fun! And we were married in this wonderful little town in 2000!

Jim Gulley purchased this house in 2013

Why Jim Gulley chose Georgetown

This house in the historic district of Georgetown is the essence of this old historic mining town. While the town was established in 1859, our house was built circa 1868 and has historic charm inside and out. It has been difficult to capture how wonderful our house in the pictures posted. The house is quite open and spacious and really comfortable. I encourage you to read the reviews. Call me for more details!

What makes this house unique

Our home has gone through some significant updating to add to its comfort. However, we were careful to hold onto the character and Georgetown 'feel'! There is not another home in Georgetown that combines the town history and modern day comforts like ours. From internet, cable and appliances to turn of the century floors, wall coverings and ambiance! Great fenced backyard with views to kill! and both charcoal and gas grills with a fire pit for the cool nights! All tucked in the most historical section of Georgetown. Awesome! Come and make memories!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We really enjoyed staying in the Parsonage. The home has a lovely rustic feel with all the modern additions necessary. You really get the Georgetown mining village experience. The beds were all very comfortable and there was a good shower. There is also plenty of TV and DVD options for after a long day skiing. The house is in easy walking distance from some great restaurants, local bakery and shops. We would definitely stay again! Jim also made the check in process very smooth with a PDF guide before we left for our trip and was helpful with travel arrangements and letting us check out late.

Historic Georgetown home

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 adults and 1 child stayed in this home for a spring break ski trip. The home is within walking distance of several nice Georgetown restaurants and a couple of fun parks. We prepared all breakfasts and lunches, plus one dinner, in the kitchen with no problems. We had no problems parking across the street, really just a few steps from the front door. The house was comfortable and charming and well-located for a Loveland ski trip.

Wonderful time capsule adventure!

  • 5 of 5

The property was wonderful. Beautiful and well maintained! The backyard was lovely and had all the amenities needed for a very comfortable stay. The basement was pretty creepy, but thankfully we had strong men staying with us and had no need to go down there :) The property management team was very informative about the property and super responsive to questions.

We loved our stay in Georgetown!

Owner's Response: Sheryl, thanks for staying with us. You were a great guest. Yes, parking is a HUGE issue in all of Georgetown and we are addressing it with city government as well as home owners and vacation rentals. As for the toilets, the water main repair over the winter silted up filters in each float valve which resulted in very low water flow into the toilet tanks. This was fixed during our summer stay in the pardons go -- all fixed!! Come back and see us!

Comfortable and convenient

  • 4 of 5

The house is a nice antique, bigger than it looks from the outside. We used it as a base to ski a couple of days at Loveland (20 minutes) and to do some sightseeing in the area. Georgetown is a funky little town, a bit sleepy, with good food. Overall a very good experience and I would recommend the Parsonage to a friend.
