About Amanda Baxter

We came from the UK in 1984 and lived in FL for some years. We found Lexington when on vacation here and bought the farm in 1993. Lexington is a beautiful small town to raise children in a peaceful environment. There is a good music scene, beautiful scenic hikes and riding trails. Golf and fishing. We are just five miles from downtown Lexington yet out in the countryside surrounded by farmland. It's bliss.

Amanda Baxter purchased this house in 1993

Why Amanda Baxter chose Lexington

The amazing thing about this property is from it's location and views you would think you were miles away from anything and yet you are only 5 miles from downtown and 3 miles to the I81 and I64. Location, Location, Location and this is it. Perfect for reunions, college parents weekends and graduation gatherings. There are also two log cabins on the farm. Rent everything and have a great gathering at Lazy Acres Farm.

What makes this house unique

It's rare to find a property where so many can stay. In addition to the lodge there are two logs cabins sleeping up to six people each. Perfect for family reunions, graduations and weddings. Plenty of rolling acres to run, hike, fish at the stocked pond, and just get away from the town and enjoy nature on your doorstep.

Beautiful views and spacious home

  • 5 of 5

Came with a group of friends for a weekend getaway and had a great time! The kitchen was perfect for making meals for a large group. The hot tub was a highlight as well allowing us to get a view of the clear night sky while staying warm. I would definitely recommend to a friend or family!

Beautiful property with amazing views from a hottub! Would definitely stay here again.

  • 5 of 5

The property has a lot of space and is so cozy that it immediately feels like home. The huge screen doors invite amazing views from inside. When you wake up, horses are waiting to say good morning by the fence. It's quiet, peaceful and a great way to unplug from normal routine. We made great use of the big kitchen, enjoyed cooking and sharing meals together. The hottub was also a cherry on top! The dogs were also fun to play with! And I even took a short nap on the hammock. We felt like we belonged there. We would reccommend this place to anyone!!

A home away from home. A perfect vacation spot.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time. The house had everything we needed to make meals together for our group. Plenty of room to spread out, both indoors and out. The outside shower with the view of the mountains is the best. We would definitely plan another trip to this lovely place.

Amazing views and great house for gathering with friends and family.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and especially the views and the outdoor situation with patios and hammock and beauty all around. The house is well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The house and patios are setup so you can be together, but there are also spaces for privacy. We definitely intend to come back sometime. Fantastic weekend!

Beautiful inside and out!

  • 5 of 5

Something for everyone! Kids loved playing outside on swing set and hot tub; they also loved the friendly pets outdoors. Some adults just enjoyed the views from the big windows overlooking a gorgeous farm. The house was well appointed with nice towels, comfortable beds, and cooking supplies, although I was glad I brought my own coffee (hotel-like coffee packets and filters were available). I was thinking we might be able to use the den with pullout sofa as a 5th bedroom before we arrived, but it was more of a pass-through room to get from the kitchen to the living room. Overall, it completely surpassed my expectations. Hoping to stay there again in the future!
