About Liz Ryan
We were so excited to find Freida, which we bought in early 2017 from Helen and Tom. It was like a dream come true. When I was I younger, I worked for years in hospitality management so part of that dream was sharing the property with others. It is the most delightful place and everyone who comes here seems to loves it. We all love travelling and hope to attract international visitors to our home. We are also keen to develop 'Freida' as a place for families and friends to come together for local weddings - there is an abundance here, particularly at the Gleniffer Church and Hall - and cultural activities like dance, yoga and art. 'Freida' is a perfect setting for groups of people to have time together. And she is just a little bit romantic :) All in good time ..... 'Freida' is definitely a project in motion.

Why Liz Ryan chose Gleniffer
What we love about Freida seems to be the same thing that everyone loves about it - this feeling of stepping back in time - and the ambience of peace, it's hard not to relax. And of course, the birds and environment. And the region. As anyone who has been here knows, this is a very special part of the world. The valley has a climate and pace all of its own. Sometimes mellow, sometimes dramatic - and other times just sweltering tropical hot. Our winters are divine. Also the history of the house is unique and we all feel a special connection to Freida and are so grateful of the association and having the chance to continue on her spirit of care for community. Her story is remarkable, particularly given how tough the pioneering days were here.
What makes this farmhouse unique
Some of our guests describe the benefits of 'Freida' better than we can: April 2018: We absolutely loved our stay at Elizabeth's place. 'Frieda's House' is so beautiful and spacious, a home away from home. Our two young kids loved running around the big veranda and in the beautiful garden and dancing in the lounge room. I especially loved relaxing on the hammocks and in the big old bath next to the open window bringing you close with nature. My husband loved the wifi for connecting to his music, better, faster connection then at home. Elizabeth and Emily were tremendously helpful letting us know what was happening like the magnificent Bellingen market and great water holes nearby, which we loved. And were easily contactable if we needed. Highly recommended:) April 2018: Thanks Liz & Emily, great house, secluded, peaceful & old world charm! All the essentials there and log fires inside and out! Great for a whole bunch of families or for a quiet couple to enjoy! The house is a little way away from Bellingen town (15 - 20mins scenic drive) but only 10 minutes from the Thora Store for fuel, organic food and alcohol. Its about half way between going up to Dorrigo or going into Bellingen town. Perfect spot to explore the Never Never & Glennifer, waterholes and bush walking tracks. January 2018: "It's a beautiful old farmhouse that is peaceful, roomy and has all the amenities you'd want. The hosts are very welcoming and the communication is excellent. We loved it that much we wished we could have stayed longer". January 2018: "Elizabeth's space is a gem and my daughter and I loved our stay in her adorable farmhouse in the Never Never. Beautiful swimming holes and just down the road to fabulous food and treats in Bellingen". December 2018: "Stunning hospitality, amazing views, great garden, hidden gem"
