About the property

This vacation home was designed to take advantage of the beautiful Northern Arizona landscape.  French doors and windows frame the breathtaking Arizona scenery.  The house provides a perfect, peaceful get-away or a home base to see the best of what Northern Arizona has to offer.

The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with hardwood floors throughout. The master bedroom has a queen bed, TV and DVD player with private bath. The other 2 bedrooms are also furnished with one queen bed with one double bed. Across the drive is a detached guest quarters with a queen bed and sofa (not a pull out sleep sofa), full bathroom, TV and DVD, and a separate deck. (Note: there is an extra $50.00 cleaning charge for guest quarters. Please specify if needing this extra bedroom and bathroom in your inquiry). The main house sleeps 6, with three bedrooms, and the guest quarters sleeps an additional 2.

The open floor plan is ideal for entertaining large groups. The kitchen is spacious with modern appliances, fully stocked with cook wear and kitchen items such as coffee maker with basket filter, toaster, general spices/cooking oil, crockpot, and is open to the main dining area. Dining table seats 8-9 with 3 seats at adjoining bar area. The large family room is adjacent, complete with a 42-inch flat screen television, Blu-Ray player, and DirectTV satellite.

Outside, a large wrap-around deck offers unobstructed views of the horizon, the north face of the Grand Canyon, and the always spectacular sunsets. Take advantage of 2 seating areas, or soak in the hot tub jacuzzi to gaze up at the endless star-filled skies.

Amenities include central heating/air, ceiling fans in all rooms, in-home sound system, wireless internet, centrally located washer and dryer, and a 6 person outdoor jacuzzi. The deck has a stainless steel gas grill, a Bubba keg briquette barbecue and an enclosed fireplace. The jacuzzi spa located on the deck outside the master bedroom.

Our home is centrally located approximately 11 miles from downtown Williams, Arizona, a historic stop on Route 66. Williams is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Flagstaff, less than an hour away from the Grand Canyon and an easy hour drive day trip to Sedona or other Northern Arizona landmarks.  Weather is generally moderate during the summer months, with monsoons in the later summer months, and very cold with snow in the winter. (Note, in winter months with heavy snow four wheel drive is required as we are located on a rural dirt road, but snowfall varies from year to year). Check in time is 3:00 pm, but earlier check in may be arranged with the owner. Check out time is 11:00am. Please provide your phone number during your inquiry.

We have put our hearts into building this gem and hope you enjoy visiting it as much as we do!

Beautiful home and views!

  • 3 of 5

The William's home was beautiful and comfortable with drop-dead views looking north to the Grand Canyon. There were quite a few nice sitting areas, indoors and outdoors. My husband's family had a sibling reunion with a sister and husband traveling from Australia. We enjoyed sitting on the enormous deck having coffee in the morning and cocktails in the late afternoon while watching thunderheads build, rain storms and then the darkest sky for stargazing. It was an excellent place to have a reunion.

There are several things that do need attention.

1. The kitchen stove had a couple of issues: a. The oven did not cook well as the temperature was inconsistent and uneven. b. the cooking elements on the top were not level and the temperature was inconsistent and inaccurate. This was important as many of us are foodies and enjoy cooking together.

2. The ceiling fan in the double bed room did not work; both the fan and the light.

3. The TV/DVD player did not funtion correctly. Ihe instructions in both the organ folder and the plastic coated sheets gave instructions didn't appear to be accurate.

4. The outdoor grill did not work.

5. There were numerous Harvestmen (granddaddy long legs) in all the rooms. While they are cute and not dangerous, they were a bit disconcerting.

We would love to stay at this VRBO in the future but the kitchen needs updating.

Rustic with all the modern conveniences

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful location with easy access to the town for supplies and the train depot for a real western experience getting into the canyon (with a real live train robbery) and no crowds! The home was very nice, had everything we needed. The fire pit was a huge hit with the kids. We fashioned some wires into sticks and had some amazing s'mores. The dirt road left some dust on our van but was easy to navigate (albeit slowly in the dark: plan on 15-20 minutes the first time and 10 minutes the second). We saw wild horses and deer around the property. If you can visit Sedona on your trip it is a must see--we did it in one day and loved it (make sure to get reservations in advance for the heritage sites/cave dwellers just outside Sedona). The Grand Canyon South rim is a quick drive and we also went to the North rim as well as Horseshoe bend on the same day trip--well worth the driving! The red lights flashing in the distance are windmills. We had a great time here. Our parents stayed in the small guest house and they enjoyed getting away from the hustle each night. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Can't go wrong staying here.

This property made our special vacation that much more enjoyable and memorable!

  • 5 of 5

Our vacation started as a surprise for my husband’s 60th birthday and also turned into a surprise engagement proposal for our daughter!! The property was such a wonderful place to come back to after a day at The Grand Canyon, Sedona, Bearizona, or just taking in the downtown Williams area! The views from both inside and outside the home were spectacular! The deck was a wonderful place to start the day with a morning coffee or to end the day with a glass of wine or a beer while unwinding in the hot tub, just watching the gorgeous sunset or stargazing!! The rooms are spacious and extremely clean. The only negative that we would have to give is that the grill needs to be replaced. My husband even cleaned it all out, but it doesn’t seem to want to cook the meat evenly. Definitely would go back to this exquisite house if we end up going back to that area!! 😃

What a special place! Everything was truly remarkable. Anita was very accommodating, and the home has anything and everything you could possibly need! We had a great time, and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful home with beautiful views

  • 4 of 5

House was clean and had the best views with quiet surroundings. Really loved the sunsets and starry skies from the deck and/or the hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay. Only negatives - there were quiet a few daddy long leg spiders but that's probably expected being so remote. The other was that the pots and pans (and grill) could use replacing. Even with buttering or oiling the pans, pancakes stuck to it and weren't eatable. So if you can, bring your own.

Overall, would recommend this house.
