This cabin nestled right in picture perfect setting..was even better than we expected when we arrived...there was not one thing missing that we needed to enjoy our stay except more nights ...we intend to go back again when we have time to rent longer...they even supplied the wood now thats what i call extra loving touches ...extremely clean all bedding smelled wonderful!! We thank the owner for sharing the cabin with us. Can't say that I've had such rest away from home..thank you

Our family just spent this past weekend in this charming cottage and loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We completely enjoyed our stay. The owner to great care to make sure we had easy directions and instructions and wonderful accommodations! We felt welcomed before we ever arrived and we're not disappointed!! Everything seemed to say, "Welcome, relax, enjoy!" The cabin is beautiful, well kept, very clean, comfortable and spacious. I think our favorite spot was the back deck and hot tub which are surrounded by trees and filtered sunlight. It was perfect place to unplug, have fun and reconnect with our family!!! We loved it!!!

beautiful and comfortable place

  • 4 of 5

This property is one of the few that feels bigger than it looks in photos. Very private and natural setting surrounded by woods. The hot tub is good quality--jets everywhere! To echo the comments of others--you will not have access to television channels or internet. Be prepared for the quiet!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. We put our heart and soul into our home there in those trees. haha Most of our guests are looking for a place to disconnect themselves and turn off technology for a couple of days. It is a great way to reconnect with family and friends especially if you have children. I always look forward to watching movies, popping popcorn and playing board games. Life is so fast these days. Take care.

Great Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We booked this cabin because it was close to an event we were attending in Hocking Hills area. We decided to make a weekend of it and stay at the cabin Friday and Saturday nights. Angela was a great help with booking/communication and gave good instructions on getting to the cabin. (more on that later)

When we arrived we met one of the neighbors who was out walking his dog. He told us about some nearby trails that were great for hiking and not as crowded as the more popular spots down that way. We were too busy for hiking that weekend but thought that was worth mentioning if you want to find trails that are a little less crowded and not too far away. We might go back and check them out sometime.

The cabin was very nice with a big open space for the kitchen and living room. A table for 6, bunk bed, couch, recliner and a couple rocking chairs were arranged throughout. Very spacious, open and great for a small group of people. The bedroom was on the smaller side but just fine for sleeping two people and the bathroom was a nice size and clean.

The back porch runs the entire length of the house and has a good view of the woods. You can see a neighbor's house in the distance but that didn't bother us. There is also a good sized grill on the porch and a hot tub down the stairs at ground level. Again everything was clean and working properly. There were instructions on how to run the hot tub posted on the fridge.

In summary it was a great place to stay for the weekend. We would definitely book it again if we have the same event next year or maybe just to spend a weekend checking out some new hiking spots.

Also on a side note... Angela recommended going through Logan when coming from the north. On the map it seems out of the way, but takes you by the grocery store and keeps you on the main roads. We ran into a traffic jam on 33 so we exited at Sugar Grove and took 50 to 32 instead of going all the way down to Logan. I would not recommend that route. Even though Google maps says it is more direct, the roads are narrow and there is a good sized construction project going on back that way. Narrow roads and big construction trucks driving through made for a couple tedious moments. We still got there just fine, but I would stick to the main roads Angela mentions in her directions.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. Based on my own experiences travelling to Hocking Hills and staying in other cabins before we had our own in that beautiful part of Ohio....I always liked to have my "bearings" as to where I was in conjunction with downtown Logan. The directions that I provide allows you to do just that... passing a grocery store, pharmacy etc.The construction of course is just temporary. The 52 foot long balcony overlooking the 5 acres of trees is most definitely a big attraction and is loved by all of our guests. We are looking forward to your return again soon.

Hocking hills cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was beautiful. The property very well-maintained. The owners were very accessible and take wonderful care of the property. I would highly recommend this cottage. The hot tub and fire pit were high point of my stay. Even with a rainy day it's nice to relax and just listen to the rain.
