New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

FIDDLESTICKS is designed with the OBX vacationer in mind. It's a quick walk to Food Lion, shopping, banking, and restaurants. The lower level has 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 baths. Each bedroom has access to an ocean or sound facing deck. The spacious upper level great room is a perfect gathering place to enjoy the panoramic ocean views. This level also has a large well-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, and full bath. Directly off the kitchen is a spacious screened porch with picnic table and built in deck tables. The upstairs loft offers a quiet retreat with fabulous ocean views. The loft includes a sleeper sofa, TV/DVD, and game table. Step out onto the loft deck to enjoy a Hatteras sunset. Both upper and lower levels provide expansive decks that wrap three sides and are amply furnished with chairs, lounges, and porch swings. FIDDLESTICKS also meets your outdoor living needs with a fish cleaning station and 2 private outdoor showers with attached dressing areas. You'll enjoy the many finishing touches that make FIDDLESTICKS your home away from home. Grab a book from the house library, relax, and enjoy the view!

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically.


Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details about this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on weather.

Awesome property

The place was great. The only issue was the ants on the kitchen counters. One good interior and exterior spray with Taurus (Fipronil) every 3-6 months and the problem will be solved. Other than that, it was great.

Wonderful vacation home!

Fun at Fiddlesticks

The house has a pretty view of the ocean and is not far from the beach. The decor is nice, the kitchen is well stocked and the house is comfortable. The bathrooms have been nicely renovated, and the washer/dryer work well. We enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed the house, great views

We had a great time at this house. Plenty of room. Good showers. The beds were decent. Deck space was really great and the views from them were outstanding. The top floor AC units underperformed each day, not being able to keep up with the heat but, was not a major problem. House did have some small red ants which were not a problem after getting some Terro. This house as lots of steps and if you are with older people or folks with limited mobility, it will be a challenge. This is NOT uncommon for oceanfront homes. As a family, we enjoyed this home.

This house was in the perfect location. Ocean front with beautiful views and easy access. The beach was uncrowded and it honestly felt like we had the beach to ourselves. The house was fun. The first thing the grandkids said was "This place is like a great big maze!" Stairs cases and decks everywhere. The great room was very spacious with a very large dining table. The kitchen was well equipped and had several pots large enough to do a seafood boil. The beverage refrigerator was a nice plus. The 3 out door showers were handy. There were very few issues and they were handled quickly by effienct and friendly maintenance staff. Would definitely stay here again!

Things need upgrading/repair

The dishwasher rubber gaskets are not attached. Need to repair. The sliding screen doors are ripped and unusable. The DVD player is old and doesn't play Blu-ray. Needs updated. And I had to clean the shower of mildew. I have pictures to show you.

Never got code to lock door

At house at 5 as told ck in was 5 5:15 still no code neighbors said we haven’t gotten our code but door open n at that point we went n yes our door open also so we went on in n noticed that still garage in bathroom so we starting cleaning n vaccuum the house then the the cleaners came n my grandson said we are cleaning n they left which was but family had great vacation beautiful home

Maintenance is needed...

You’ll be saying “fiddlesticks” quite a bit here... Hatteras realty collects the money from the owners but takes no time to fix things that need fixing and doesn’t bother sanitizing either! You get let in at 5pm on your first day of vacation and it’s for no reason because it’s not CLEAN. We arrived and found multiple long strands of hair stuck to dining chairs and hair in the freezer along with crumbs on counter and no smell of cleaners to be found. This was disturbing. The vacuum does not really do anything and Disposable bag inside of it was Full and filthy. So we couldn’t even clean up after our kids or clean up after “housekeeping.” Day 2 one my 4 yr old nieces punctured her foot in two places on exposed nails on stairway to loft. Later that day my 3 yr old niece fell sideways down the steps due to very poorly designed, narrow and steep HALF steps on loft stairway. Huge hazard for kids AND adults (and there’s no way you can put a baby gate on those steps either.) Our private beach access had to get taken down due to its instability and leaving on Day3 and was not finished until Day6. Otherwise- I appreciated the pantry space, the playpen provided and outdoor showers. Thank you to the owners for providing a house for us but the house does need some work and attention to detail as far as making sure basic upkeep such as carpeting and lights and fans are all working. AC unit seems to be inconsistent as well. Our whole family agreed we would go through freezing cold hours of sleep at night to burning up hot in the same night? Very strange.
