Welcome to Oasis on 5th, a cozy bohemian retreat in the heart of Charlottesville! This Caribbean themed three-bedroom home blends eclectic style with comfort, featuring warm textures, inviting spaces, and thoughtful touches throughout.

This house is located on 5th St SW, just minutes from the Charlottesville Amtrak Station, the vibrant Downtown Mall with its restaurants, shops, and live music, and the University of Virginia. Whether you’re in town for a weekend getaway, a visit to UVA, or to explore local wineries and trails, this home offers the ideal base.

FIRST FLOOR:

KITCHEN - fully stocked with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot

DINING ROOM - dining area for 4 guests, plus additional seating for 2 at the kitchen island

LIVING ROOM - large sectional sofa, ottoman, framed smart TV, cozy throw blankets

POWDER ROOM - half bathroom located downstairs with toilet and pedestal sink

The property overall was vey nice and in a great location. But we thought it on the expensive side given many features of the house did not warrant that expense. Under cabinet lights fell down if you touched them in the wrong place, ceiling fan in the living room didn’t work, I shouldn’t have to play with the switch on the garbage disposal to get it to work. Not all outlets work. They should be checked. There were some safety concerns that you need to be aware of. An anti slip pad should be placed under the hall carpet at the door. We rolled it up as it was such a slip hazard. There are no anti slip pads under any of the carpets. Grab bars in the tub areas would be helpful. Finally the most serious are the two steps coming from the primary bedroom into the living room. It is very difficult to see the step downs as the floor blends together. I realize it wouldn’t look pretty but some sort of tape to indicate the steps would be beneficial. Some sort of directions on how to work the tv. We had 2 very tech savvy people who could not get a network tv station,You all were very responsive to my concerns when I emailed you and I appreciate that.
