Beautiful Tahoe Village. Steps to Heavenly Valley Ski Resort!

Bedrooms 1
Space 540 sq. ft.
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

About the property

Peaceful Loft Bedroom, Full Bathroom, Queen Sofa Bed.

The Heavenly Valley Hideaway is the perfect home away from home anytime of the year!

Parking right outside, shuttle bus into town and to the ski lifts stops right across the street, local pub and restaurant right down the street, and a few steps to the swimming pool and hot tub (the swimming pool is closed during the late fall and winter seasons, but the hot tub is still open).

Boulder or Stagecoach Ski Lodges are just a short distance away.

There are just a few stairs inside that lead to the condo. No worries about hassling with luggage and skis up and down several flights of stairs across parking lots and icy paths like with most other accommodations in the area.

Your hideaway is just that, hidden in the back of the building away from the noise and glaring lights of the world outside. You have no neighbors upstairs to stomp or practice tap dancing at midnight. Above the vaulted cathedral ceilings is the alpine sky. Outside is the breathtaking view of mountains and the Carson Valley. Washer and dryer are located one floor below if you need them, but your bed linens and towels are fresh and ready for your stay. Wifi is free.

The first thing that will catch your eye is the inviting décor of the hideaway. Designed to be a home rather than a rental, comfort and appeal were the goals and I believe they have been achieved nicely. 'Mountain Chic' at it's finest.

Granite counter tops in the fully equipped kitchen with everything from wine glasses to pasta bowls. Luxurious bath towels and designer bedding make this home a place you may not want to ever leave.

There is nothing like just being a couch potato after a full day of activities. Grab the remote and settle in for your favorite shows on the big screen television. Your bedroom is located in the loft upstairs along with a large changing area. The sofa accommodates a queen size bed as well.

Once you set a plan of action for the day, you are within minutes of some of the most incredible places and scenery you will ever witness. Take a deep breath and just become part of all that nature has to offer. It's life changing.

Nice cozy condo with a beautiful view and easy access.

  • 4 of 5

Condo is very nice and inviting. I recommend it only for two people if sharing the loft bed upstairs due to the fact that the downstairs fold out couch blocks access to the kitchen. If someone is still sleeping there, you have to step on the bed to get to the kitchen. This is the only thing I would say is a downside of this condo, otherwise it is great!

Perfect for two

  • 4 of 5

Nice, well maintained loft, close to the lifts (not quite walking distance, but short drive or bus ride). Small but fully functional kitchen. Loft got hot with the heat on, so we left it off overnight. Only minor issue was the hot water didn't last for two full showers. Would definitely stay there again.

Great time...

  • 4 of 5

Great little condo. Very quiet, clean, and restful! Previous reviews talked about the strange bathroom, and we agree. BUT, it's great little condo. Great location for skiing. The view is spectacular! We didn't get to use the hot tub. Too much snow made it not easily accessible.

Great location to Heavenly's lifts and quick responses from owner

  • 4 of 5

I chase snow storms across the country and it usually involves last minute bookings. It was fantastic to have the owner reply within 30 minutes to confirm my rental of the property.

-Very close to Heavenly's lifts. Too far to walk but there's a shuttle or you can drive about three minutes

-Condo was clean and well maintained

-Hot tub is about 100 yards away via an outdoor walk. The hot tub does NOT reach a therapeutic temperature. It was less than 100 degrees. It made the walk in freezing temps simply not worth it

-If staying in winter and it's snowing, YOU WILL NEED CHAINS OR 4WD WITH SNOW TIRES. The condo is located above 7,000 feet, well above the lake level floor. The roads are steep and winding. If the police don't get you for not having proper equipment, mother nature will

-No dishwasher. Maybe not a big deal to most, but, I hate hand washing things each day

I would recommend this condo. The other tenants in the building are quiet and respectful. I don't think it would be good for more than two people but, I'm one who enjoys my space and four people staying here would be just too close a quarters. You are a good 15-20 minute drive into South Lake Tahoe for most restaurants, shopping, etc.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your review Seth. Good advice regarding snow tires/chains. We had an extraordinary snow year, hoping for a repeat!

Perfect Get-Away for a Couple

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week including New Years. It was very homey and we immediately fell in love with this place! The toilet is a little awkward almost like a perch but that's easy to overlook with how great this place is. If I plan on coming to Lake Tahoe again this will be the first place I look and I would definitely recommend to anybody traveling out to the area!

Wonderful Experience from Start to Finish

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here from December 21st to December 27th. We had a fantastic time. I immediately felt comfortable in the condo. We endured a few snowed in days very comfortably; I personally sat in the recliner by the fireplace and read and enjoyed watching the snow fall. :)

A few odd things, like the height of the toilet and shower but nothing that you can't get used to. The bed was SUPER comfortable. I mean, really, really nice. I slept so well the entire week I was there. The condo was easy to find in a really nice location. Perfect for a cozy hideaway for my husband and I.

Brad, the owner, was always quick to answer questions leading up to our stay. I definitely would recommend renting from him again.

About Brad Nelson

Aloha from my home in Kailua, Hawaii. I call this the 'second paradise' next to Lake Tahoe. Much of my family live in the Lake Tahoe area. It may sound sappy, but I really enjoy sharing the wonders of the mountains with folks who have never experienced them. Growing up I the Bay Area, Tahoe was my back yard, my vacations and my sanctuary. Still is, but the back yard is just a little further distance now.

Why Brad Nelson chose Tahoe Village

When I started the process of turning the condo into a vacation home, I jotted down a list of things that I have liked and disliked about vacation homes and hotels where I have stayed. I have traveled all over the world and have had some great experiences and some not so great in the places where I have stayed.

Personally, I like staying in places where I feel welcome. A place that is not cheaply furnished and the appointments and amenities make me feel valued by the folks that I am renting from. After all , this is our vacation, our time and our money. Shouldn't we expect to get our money's worth and maybe a little more?

You will be staying in one of the most prestigious and naturally beautiful areas of Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Village. Heavenly Valley Ski Resort and the village of Stateline are renowned for their recreation and entertainment year round.

Enjoy relaxing in the hot tub after a day of incredible skiing and some of the most breathtaking scenery you will ever be a part of. A warm meal and glass of wine from any one of dozens local eateries or prepared in your condo is just what you need to prepare you for the next day of sight seeing, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, hiking or a spectacular drive around Lake Tahoe.

Stateline generously offers dining, shopping and entertainment 24 hours a day. Boasting some of the most exciting casinos, live shows and fun things to keep the kids busy. Don't miss Blue Angel Café on Ski Run Blvd. The best place for happy hour appetizers by the fire.

Snow and entertainment are not the only reasons to come to Lake Tahoe. The area is known for it's world class hiking, biking, water sports, golf, horseback riding, beaching and wow I can go on forever. You can even take the Heavenly Valley Gondola to the top of the mountain and hike the ski runs in the summer and fall. Make sure you have your camera ready, the views are unbelievable!

I hope you enjoy your stay in Tahoe Village. This is without a doubt my favorite place on earth and no matter how many times I visit, there are always great memories being made.
