About Jane Yoder

For information about the owners go to Wild Asaph Cabin go to VRBO 371046. We own and operate two cabins within a 10 minute walk of each other. And another 2 miles from these. Three cabins close to each other makes for great family reunions.

Jane Yoder purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Jane Yoder chose Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania

Because it is close to Wellsboro PA and the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.

Wellsboro, a town of beauty and culture rich in natural resources and the County Seat of Tioga County, might be set down in any section of New England and find itself in familiar surroundings. The Wellsboro area, home of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, offers hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails from flat packed surfaces to rugged mountain terrain. Spend time fishing, swimming and canoeing in one of the many area parks. They’re free in Pennsylvania! Maybe you’d like to try horseback riding or have an off road adventure. It’s time to relax. Spend a few nights or a week or two enjoy fabulous meals at your choice of area restaurants. Stroll the gas lit streets of Wellsboro where you’ll find family owned businesses offering personal attention to your needs. Maybe you’d rather take a scenic train, trolley or go rafting. You’ll find it all here in the Wellsboro area. Looking for a getaway weekend that will rekindle the old fashioned Christmas spirit? Then plan to join us every 1st saturday for the annual Dicken’s of a Christmas. Wellsboro's Main Street and the surrounding side streets will be closed to traffic and will become an early Victorian marketplace featuring all types of delectable wares for eating and drinking, as well as delightful gift items for wearing or enjoying. Come and see us, it’s a short drive from your back yard to ours! Wellsboro has an attractive downtown and an active Chamber of Commerce with over 300 members working together to build a strong community for today and tomorrow.

We bought this property because because it was so close to Wild Asaph our 1st property. For more info on that property go to VRBO 371046. We felt it would be ideal for those of you that need a big place for large gatherings, whether for families of ladies weekends or reunions of any kind. And we were right. It is working out great for all of those reasons. Yet either place is still cozy enough.

What makes this cabin unique

We have something for everyone! The benefits of this cabin are many. As of 2012 it has been totally remodeled. With an addition that includes a master bedroom with private bathroom. The location is perfect for hunters, fishermen and families that want to get away from city/ town life and make memories with friends and family. Yet it really is close enough to run into town for festivals, dinner, live theater, and shopping. Also, very close to pine creek and all it has to offer from white water rafting to tubing, canoeing, swimming etc. It is also close the rail trails. Tioga county and it's beauty can't be beat!!

Notes:
Both of our cabins are within 1/2 mile of each other. Ten minutes walking distance. Both are located in the PA Grand Canyon attraction area. They are 17 miles from the quaint town of Wellsboro with all it's charm and activities. Close to the rail trail for biking. Our cabins are in the boonies away from it all, yet close enough to drive to town for dining, shopping or other activities. Even though this cabin sleeps 8 in beds it is most comfortable with 4-6 guests. We ask that you respect our cabins inside and out. Putting all trash in it's place and leaving no trash outside at any time. Our cabins have WiFi and Dish TV. We know you will love the area and the cabin. Make sure you check out the dark sky's some clear evening when you are there...it is breath taking! Also, check out our new cabin as of 2017 called Blair Creek cabin. It is 2 miles before you get to Asaph Run and Wild Asaph Cabins.

This cozy cabin has all the comforts of home. The property is very well kept, tastefully decorated, and well stocked for all of your needs. You can enjoy the quiet of the mountain surroundings, including watching the local wildlife from the front porch. This place is a hidden gem!

I said it before and I'll say it again. It's an awesome place to stay!! Cabin is beautiful and comfortable.

However, I like to spend most of my time outside and the property is well manicured. Lots of open space for tons of activities. So if you are looking for a place to stay in the Wellsboro area look no further. Jane does an excellent job of keeping the house clean and in great shape for her guests.

We really enjoyed stay at Asaph Run Cabin. We were looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing and this cabin was perfect! Clean and cozy, no one close by and a short drive to beautiful Wellsboro and PA Grand Canyon. We already have plans of going back! Jane and Harold have a great cabin here!

Great getaway cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

As a group of 3 high school pals, we have abandoned the wives & kids & jobs and taken an annual escape for the past 15 years. This cabin is perfect for that purpose as it has all the comforts of home including 3 bedrooms (they say I snore!), full kitchen, and relaxing areas. The pellet stove heats nicely and also gives a pleasant 'cabin feel'. But most importantly, looking out the window there are woods and only one neighbor visible in the distance through the trees. Nights were spent at the picnic table and around the fire under the stunning stars. The road in front was only seldom traveled, so it was quiet and fine for hiking. Within a short driving distance was fishing and a little further the top of the PA Grand Canyon bike trail. We'd love to come back and do some kayaking/tubing on the Pine Creek. Wellsboro also has a beautiful downtown with nice shops and restaurants worthy of more visits.

Fantastic, relaxing weekend!!

This cabin was perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway! We saw four bears within a mile of the cabin, as well as many turkeys and deer. We enjoyed hiking and exploring the nearby town of Wellsboro. Can't wait to go back!
