The kitchen was not fully equippedThere was one wine glassThere was no coffee or coffee podsThe oven was very dirty but worse - the oven did not work so we were not able to cook dinner especially since there was no outdoor grill either - we called the host to remedy it - I don’t know if they fixed itOne if the bedrooms had a bed that blocked the bathroom door so our guest had to climb over the bed to get to the bathroom

You can’t beat the location of this property. However, there are many things that need work. For example, the pool heater is broken. Most light fixtures don’t work and common amenities like a washer and dryer have issues.

The house was a good size for our group and the location is great and walkable to town. However, the house could’ve used a more in depth cleaning before hand and was a little warm.

Renovated vintage beach cottage

Nicely decorated with a family-friendly layout, this vintage beach cottage had unique charm, was close to the beach and town. We enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.

Great location and great for big family!

Location is so close to beach! Clean with a large living room area. Kitchen is large and great for cooking!! Loved the big window that opens to pool. Hot tub and pool were amazing for a big crowd. Our only issue was hot tub and pool were cold for two days even though we paid for heat. Great vacation!

St Simon Thanksgiving

The house was as advertised, lots of room. The kitchen is awesome. The house is close to the beach, you can walk to the beach in a few minutes. We, as a group, 7 of us. would stay here again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the house was as pictured. The house was very clean.We thought that the location was excellent, 10 to 15 minute walk from the pier and lots of restaurants/dining. If you travel during the off-season, be prepared for restaurants to close by 8pm. Exterior of the home could use some TLC. There were multiple deck boards that needed to be replaced. The fencing was falling apart in multiple areas. Be aware if you are bringing dogs with you that you should take them out on a leash so that they cannot escape the yard.If you were going to pay to have the pool heated, please be aware that it is a spa and not a hot tub. Pool and hot tub are unable to be heated beyond 78. We spent nearly 300 to have this heated for our stay and unfortunately, because the temperatures were in the upper 60s/low 70s we did not get to utilize the pool in the way that we had wanted. We did request that the temperature be raised, but were told that it could not be adjusted any higher. The listing also reports that there are subscriptions for multiple streaming services, which is untrue. There is a fire stick and Roku, but you have to log into your own accounts. We had to replace the batteries in the fire stick multiple times during our stay. Replacement batteries were not provided. Overall, for the cost of the stay and the ability to travel with our dogs, I think we would consider staying here again, but would definitely consider this a low/no-frills stay.

Great location beautiful decor

A lovely, very comfortable and beautifully decorated home two blocks from the beach in a quiet location on the island. Great kitchen nicely equipped. Disappointed that we could not use fireplaces and while the rental company was responsive to our needs the experience was impersonal. That said we plan to return because of how much we loved the home and location

Almost perfect

Immaculate lovely home, well-furnished, great location, responsive management. The only downside is that the back of the property abuts a large hotel whose noisy air conditioners interferes with the enjoyment of the beautiful back yard, a fact not mentioned in the description.

Update your property

Good location - close to town and beach. VRBO photos of property need to be more current. Exterior lighting entering/exiting the home could be brighter - missing bulbs. Heated spa/pool could be warmer. Musty smell upon entering property home most times. Missing the weber grill that was in backyard photo. Wouid have wanted to grill outdoors a night or two. Lighter fluid was located below sink so where was the grill?Oven did not heat up!! What’s the trick??

Great house

It was just my wife and I, and it was the offseason and not great weather so we didn't get to enjoy all the house offers in the hot tub and yard. However, the house is nicely appointed, plenty of towels, kitchen appliances, and in light of the weather and Covid, I loved that they had all the pay TV stations, and could access Netflix and Hulu. It is 2 blocks from a nice beach, and a short walk/ride to the pier town, and close to everything else.

Beautiful spot close to the beach

Overall, we really liked staying here. The house and yard were beautiful , and we enjoyed the pool as well. Only drawback was that the internet could be spotty at times and we weren't able to access Netflix and Hulu due to needing a PIN that only the owner had and didn't feel comfortable giving out. I assume they are going to work on fixing this. Other than that, I would highly recommend because the house was beautiful and a short walk to the beach!

Two family beach vacation

House was beautifully decorated and appointed and extremely clean. Great location, easy walk to the beach and shops and restaurants. Kitchen was easy to cook in and we used pool and spa more than I thought we would. The only thing I would point out is that the room with the double and two singles consists of bunk beds, including a top single that is shorter than a standard-sized single mattress and the double and other single are on the floor. It worked well for our teens/older kids and would be perfect for little kids, but adults would likely be uncomfortable there. Speaking of comfort, the mattresses and bedding were extremely comfortable (not something I would have expected in a rental).

Not good. The yard is overgrown and needs love. The pool needs drained and cleaned. The furniture in the common living area is old. The tv in the LR didnt work. The wifi didnt work. The management compamy doewnt qork. The front door needs a serious replacementm good luck with this rental!

Overall Good

We recently stayed at this home on St. Simons and overall had a good experience, mostly due to the great location. It's close to everything, and the neighborhood is lovely. The house itself definitely has good bones but could use some updates. It has a bit of a shabby feel, but nothing that stopped us from enjoying our time.A few things to note: the downstairs AC doesn’t work very well. We were there during cooler weather, so it wasn’t a huge issue, but I imagine it could be pretty uncomfortable in the summer. The stove also has several burners that don’t work, which was a bit frustrating when trying to cook.The top bunk bed is really only suitable for a small child—there's not much headroom or legroom up there. That said, the outdoor pool area is nice and was one of our favorite spots to hang out and relax.All in all, the house needs some TLC, but the location and layout make it a solid choice if you’re not expecting luxury. We'd stay again, especially if some of the little issues get addressed.

Quaint house-fab location

Adorable house w/coffee house vibes. If you love & are used to older, quirky houses- you will love. Very cozy. Love the decor & stained glass. Great great location! Pool heating & cleanliness(pool only) was an issue, but obviously not a problem in summer. Vacasa did the very best they could with what they had to deal with(re:pool). Would love for the owners to fix the observation deck & a few other things. Would be a fun addition to this funky, cool house. Would stay here again.

Spacious but left wanting

We easily fit 2 families into the house, great sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed the kitchen and living space, but exposed outlets, broken widow’s nest with no access (though it looked like it would have been amazing), promise of a heated pool in January but having nothing, and missing windows, tv remotes, and backyard issues (shade lining was covered in debri, playhouse covered in moss) just left us wishing we could have enjoyed what was promised to us more.

Great Location, Unfortunate Experience

Great location for myself and 7 other adults to stay, however there were several issues we encountered while we stayed and still have not heard back from anyone to discuss. Unfortunately, there was a large rain storm and the entire property flooded, including the backyard with the pool which made the pool unusable for the entire trip, which is why we chose the house to stay in. Several sections of the flooring were missing and the upstairs shower did not drain making it unusable. These items were reported through Vacasa 3 times, and I have still yet to hear from anyone about it. During the flood, there were also visible sparks coming from the outdoor lighting. There were also several spots of rain leaking through the roof and down the wall throughout the home. Some of our guests experienced a mildew smell in the bedding- and please beware if you are traveling with adults, three of the beds are much smaller than the rest with two bunk bed mattresses on the floor. It is unfortunate that throughout all of these concerns, we could not get any response from the property managers to discuss. Blame cannot be placed for a large storm, but the aftermath was handled poorly.

Very disappointed. Run down. Many non working or broken things. Yard was totally neglected.

No response from Vacasa or Host the whole week we where there. I’ve spoken to a manger and sent pictures hoping for a refund.
