Casitas Joannna is located in Playa Negra, a short distance from the coastal town of Puerto Viejo on Costa Rica´s Caribbean side. Upon exiting our property, you will find Playa Negra (Black Beach) less than 80 meters at your disposal. On the beach you will encounter miles of deserted shoreline that highlight Costa Rica's diverse biosphere. From calm waters best for snorkeling to world-class surf waves, Puerto Viejo offers an array of both outdoor and indoor activities for any type of traveler or group.

Enjoy the luxury of vacationing in one of the 6 two-floor condominium less than 100 meters from the Caribbean Sea. Each condo is fully-furnished and includes: 2 bedrooms (each with a private bathroom with hot water), air conditioning in master bedroom (When couples are renting they will have access to only 1 room), one powder room, a kitchen with cooking/serving utensils, a living room, and free WiFi internet access (5 occupants max.).

Less than a twenty-minute walk away (or a five minute taxi ride), guests of Casitas Joanna can experience Pura Vida in Puerto Viejo and throughout the South Caribbean region. Enjoy great restaurants, shop for locally-made souvenirs and crafts, zipline through the rainforest, take a guided, electric bike tour to the waterfall, visit the local Bri Bri Indigeneous Reservation, and/or dance the night away in one of the town´s lively nightclubs.
