About Mona Rishel-Shissler
Bryon - middle back row and me in blue - middle front row with our kids and grandkids. We purchased Campbell Farm in 1990. For 30 years we worked as consultants restoring our log home, refurbishing all the out buildings including our - A Cottage at Campbell Farm. We continue to expand vegetable and flower gardens and enjoy sharing the property with all the wonder folks who return again and again to our cottage and now, our 'glamping' site.
Mona Rishel-Shissler purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Mona Rishel-Shissler chose Somerset County
Bryon began thinking about building the 'glamping' site about 12 years ago when our family reunion was at a cousin's farm. Chuck and his son set up their 'trappers' tent and Bryon said, this would be a wonderful addition to our 'camping' site at the farm. He built all the structures and situated the site strategically to enjoy the great views.
What makes this Cottage unique
If you want to enjoy the outdoors but aren't quite ready for camping or, have had some raining camping experiences - this site is for you. And, Bryon has been thoughtful with the placement to provide you with maximum privacy while being easily accessible.

Glamping at Campbell Farm was amazing! Bryon and Mona thought of everything in the design!
We had a wonderful time...gorgeous views, colorful birds, peace and quiet. Bryon and Mona thought of everything when they designed this beautiful oasis. You wake up to most incredible view every morning and a hot bath outdoors while the sun sets is beyond peaceful. I'd highly recommend you give Glamping @Campbell Farm a try. You'll be happy you did!
Romantic and private! Beautiful and peaceful!
Our best anniversary (and my birthday too!) yet! We saw birds and butterflies flitting about. Hummingbirds bickering over control of the feeder (the smaller/mean one always wins). A doe with her two fawns frolicking in the fields. A red squirrel even paid us a visit while we were rocking back and forth enjoying the sounds of nothing but nature. Oh and did I mention watching the sunset over the mountain while taking an outdoor bubble bath? So, if you are still on the fence about this place, jump and take the leap of faith, you won't regret a single minute of it! You will just have to book around my anniversary. :)
Great glamping weekend
We enjoyed our glamping experience at Campbell Farm. It has everything you would need, minus food, clothes and bug spray (Thermacell's are worth the money). We had just enough lounging time and time spent on the trails, biking and caving. Our trip was damp, as it rained often, but we recommend the glamping site, caving at Laurel Caverns, lunch at the Lucky Dog Cafe and the guided tour at Fallingwater. Bring your bike if you have one, and enjoy the surroundings. We recommend using the ear plugs at night as the trains were loud at times, but didn't take away from the overall experience.
Paradise! Very romantic, wonderful location .
Mona and Bryon have created a beautiful tranquil oasis! Everything was wonderful / private and very relaxing. How wonderful even in the rain to cook in the outdoor kitchen , you can hike their 65 acres or go bike riding to near by Ohio Pyle . Bathe in the claw foot tub and watch the sunset!
Wonderful venue & very relaxing. It was everything I needed.
Always enjoy our time here.
