Scrapbooking/Vacation Retreat House Close To Mayo Clinic. Waterfront, peaceful!!

Fully furnished Retreat house set up to accommodate 9 Scrapbooking/Quilters as well as families or small groups looking for a great getaway home! The house is fully furnished with a main floor master bedroom and bath inclusive of a deep soaking tub and separate shower along with 2 lower level bedrooms and separate full bath. Each room is set up with a large bed and set of bunks to accommodate any group. The home has a total of 9 brand new beds (2 queens, 3 fulls and 4 twin) allowing ample space for multiple families and large groups!

For the late fall, winter and early spring season, the home is set up for crafters. The lower level living area is set up with 9 large craft tables for ample work space to accommodate the scrapbookers, quilters, stampers and any other similar hobbies. **PLEASE NOTE, there is a maximum of 9 guests for retreat groups as we are unable to facilitate groups beyond that size. ALSO TO NOTE for groups coming for other reasons during this time frame, the tables will remain set up in the lower living area and cannot be taken down or moved.

The house is close to Rochester for travelers visiting the Mayo Clinic (15.8 miles to downtown). Contact us for different package details if you are coming to the area as a patient as we offer additional services should you plan a stay and prefer a fully furnished home and kitchen instead of a hotel. (Additional options include but are not limited to airport pick-up/drop off, use of private vehicle or arranging of transportation available, arrival with stocked kitchen upon request, etc.)

Property is also located on the water front with access to Lake Zumbro via a short boat ride. Please note that Lake Zumbro is a reservoir and occasionally after heavy rains the lake will have a no wake zone until water recedes. Contact owner to check availability of a Pontoon and/or fishing boat. Lake Zumbro is known for its fantastic fishing of Bass and panfish. Kayaking and Canoeing along the quiet water front is also available at no additional cost.

Family gathering

I rented this beautiful home to celebrate my brother's 60th birthday. We cooked numerous meals together in the well-appointed kitchen and made excellent use of the beautiful deck, patio, and water toys. Everyone had a great time, and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. The weekend was perfect.

Cousin Weekend Trip

I had a weekend trip with my cousins and all our children. We had pre-teen to teens to entertain and the outdoor space and in door space was exactly what we needed! Everyone could easily all be together or had enough space to separate for some quiet time. The deck and patio area are perfect for entertaining fun or a peaceful relaxing time. The use of the kayaks, and games available made it so we didn't have to leave the property to find anything to do. The owners were very prompt and helpful.

Great place - lots of room

We did have issues with the check out process - the information given to us online was different than what was in the binder at the house. Plus, we make special effort to purchase charcoal for the grill only to find out there is a propane grill now. But Jeremiah and Jess were absolutely helpful. Thanks!

Exactly what we needed.

Our experience with Jeremiah and Jessica went above and beyond. Our original plan had been to use the home as a family gathering place during a larger family reunion. When an unexpected medical emergency changed all of our plans, the house became a quiet retreat for our family to be together while we took turns driving to Mayo. The cousins were able to spend time together (kayaking, swimming, and playing games) while the adults had a beautiful living area to relax and chat. It wasn’t the vacation we had planned, but the house was exactly what we needed. (My favorite part was the room with all the beds for the cousins to be together. It warmed my heart to hear them laughing together into the evening.)

Bachelorette weekend

We had a Bachelorette 'party' there, and it was perfect! The lady of the hour wanted a lowkey weekend, and it was wonderful to have such a space to do crafts, relax, and gab. The river was beautiful, though the current was a bit strong due to the recent storms, so there were quite a few large trees floating around, one was unfortunately blocking the pontoon. But other than that it was lovely to sit around the fire, kayak, and have a nice girls weekend.

Awesome Stay Awesome House!

We had a group of 9 guys stay at the house for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The house sits about 100 yards from the water and most of it is open space for yard games and hanging out. We spent the majority of our time outside since the weather was perfect. We cooked every meal at the house and the kitchen had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again!

Great hosts great multipurpose cabin

9/9 guests all said it was great. Jeremiah and Jess answered all my questions and were excellent hosts. There was plenty of room for us all, but the kitchen gets a little cozy at 9+ adults. There is almost zero boat traffic, great amenities, and the hosts made the process easy. It’s also a great deal, I would definitely recommend staying here.

This is one of the best places we have stayed. The house was big and roomy. It was SPOTLESS. The kitchen had everything you could want and plenty of towels and linens. Kids would love it here! The river behind the house was beautiful and extremely relaxing. We could have stayed much longer! We will try to come back.

The pictures does not do justice. We had a wonderful time. The house was fully stocked, all we brought was food and drinks. The yard is huge! The best part was the pontoon. Everyone enjoyed being out on the boat. Jeremiah was very responsive and easy to work with. Will definitely return!

Peaceful lake getaway

This was a great home on a quiet, beautiful lake. The house had all the amenities we needed and lots of space for 1-2 families. We enjoyed kayaking, boating, bonfires, and spent lots of time on the large deck. Our toddler loved all the kids’ games and books we found around the house. Perfect Getaway

My family stayed at this house and it was everything we could hope for. Plenty of space, large bedrooms, fully furnished, great access to the water.....this house was perfect for our family. The kids loved the open yard and kayaks. We are already looking at the calendar for next year to book this house again.

Beautiful retreat

This property is super clean, well stocked and the perfect place to hold a family gathering, women’s retreat or other large group gathering. The set up for the basement work area was amazing and there are so many sleeping options. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, spices, utensils, appliances, etc. There were plenty of extra pillows, bedding and blankets. Also, the owners were very available via text message and ready to help in any way they could. We loved our stay and will likely be booking another stay here!

With our busy schedules, we have decided to open our home up to other families who enjoy the similar getaways as we do. We are located on a huge lot allowing endless opportunities for tenting and outdoor recreational activities! We encourage you to visit, we know you'll love the escape just as much as we do!!!

Why they chose this property

As mentioned, we are less than 15 miles from Rochester, close enough to zip to town for activities, shopping or appointments at the Mayo Clinic but far enough away to feel like you have escaped the busy world and settled into pure R & R!! This property has tons of outdoor space inclusive of nearly 3 acres of yard, a huge deck to enjoy the views, a 3 season porch and a walk out basement with large patio. The home is fully furnished with everything you need to get away!!

What makes this property unique

With the beautiful views and the peaceful setting, this is a great location for any family or group to get away! We are located up stream from Lake Zumbro giving us a quiet waterfront to enjoy but still a very short boat ride to the lake to enjoy fishing and water sports with your family and friends. A pontoon is available to rent during certain times of the year to allow maximum enjoyment at our home! There will be kayaks, and possibly a fishing boat available as well.
