This is a great property as it is away from the hub-bub of the mountain yet just a 3 minute drive. The views from the ceiling to floor windows allows you to watch fireworks, snow cats' grooming and the majestic peaks with panoramic views.
Roomy and open with a 3 minute drive off the mountain. No long windy access road to get to your destination or to have to drive up up up for costly views! 50 acres of expansive grounds to X-C, sled, or snowmobile.
We had a great experience hosting our wedding at Mountain House on Sunday River. Julie and Frank were extremely helpful in all aspects, and everything was perfect. Check out their Knot site for more great reviews and information!
We had a great wedding weekend at the Mountain House! The house and property were clean and well-maintained. The descriptions were accurate. The owners, Julie and Frank, are wonderful, friendly, and so accommodating! They treat you and yours like family. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a venue that's rustic, beautiful, and different from the ordinary wedding venue!
We rented the mountain house for a ski weekend with friends - some couples and some singles. The house was PERFECTLY set up for larger groups. The living/kitchen/dining area is large, open, cozy, and ideal for everyone to hang together. The leather couches were the most comfortable ever and look out on the most amazing view of Sunday River. Everything was spotless on arrival and Julie was attentive to all questions/concerns. We would love to rent this house again. Highly recommended for a fun winter getaway!
The house was super clean. The kitchen was outfitted for cooking actual meals. The fridge held plenty of food and beer. The bathrooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The fire was warm. The view was awesome. It is super close to Sundayriver. Nothing bad to say. Great Place. Bring your friends and family and have a great time!
Professional Ski Bum
A great rental all in all with wonderful living room and kitchen, complete with spectacular view of Sunday River. The hosts were responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The house was spotlessly clean and everything you could possibly need was provided.
The layout of the bedrooms is a little unusual and is probably better suited for a large family rather than couples sharing the house. Overall, a great property.
The combination of the cozy, comfortable, spacious accommodations, the breathtaking views, enchanting walking paths and gracious hosts add up to a true 5 star experience. Restaurants in the surrounding areas are also very nice.
Ski sleds on property. Chairlift swing on property overlooking the mountains.
Ziplines 3 minutes away with year round access, at the mountain.
